The International Builing Coe 05 Eition is amene as follows: () Amen Chapter, Section 03. to rea: The Bureau of Permits an Inspections of Carroll County is hereby create, an the executive official in charge shall be known as the Coe Official or the Chief of the Bureau of Permits an Inspections, or its successor agency. () Amen Chapter, Section 03. to rea: The Coe Official shall be a full-time employee who shall enjoy all the privileges affore all such employees by Chapter 36, Personnel Policies of the County Coe. (3) Amen Chapter, Section 04.4 Inspections, to rea: The Coe Official shall make all the require inspections, or the Coe Official shall accept reports of inspection by approve agencies or iniviuals in the Coe Official s iscretion, an all reports of such inspections shall be in writing an certifie by a responsible officer of such approve agency or by the responsible iniviual. (6) Amen Chapter, Section to rea: Time limitation of application. An application for a permit for any propose work shall be eeme to have been abanone six months after the ate of filing, unless such application has been iligently prosecute or a permit shall have been issue. The Coe Official may exten the time limit note herein for goo cause. (7) Amen Chapter, Section 05.5 to rea: Cancellation of permit. Any permit issue shall become invali an voi if the perio for which it was issue expires; or if the authorize work is not commence within one year after issuance of the permit; or if the work has not been complete within two years of the ate of issuance; or if there have been no inspections mae of the authorize work within any six month perio after the commencement of the work. (8) Amen Chapter, to a new subsection to rea as follows: The Coe Official shall revoke a permit or approval issue uner the provisions of this coe in case of any false statement or misrepresentation of fact in the application or on the plans on which 4

Whenever the Coe Official shall fin that any person, corporation, LLC, partnership, contractor or owner is in violation of the provisions of this coe or of the rules an regulations of any other epartment or agency of the County in connection with the erection, maintenance or repair of builings, structures, lans or equipment thereon or therein, or has faile to perform any PWA between himself or herself an the County, the Coe Official may refuse to grant any further permits to such person, corporation, LLC, partnership, contractor, or owner or the principals in the corporate entity in violation or any other person whose name is require on an application, until all violations have been correcte, or until satisfactory bon has been given to the County Commissioners Withholing inspections. Whenever the Coe Official shall fin that any person, corporation, LLC, partnership, contractor or owner is in violation of the provisions of this coe or of the rules an regulations of any other epartment or agency of the County in connection with erection, maintenance or repair of builings, structures, lans or equipment thereon or therein, or has faile to perform any PWA between himself or herself an the County, the Coe Official upon 5 ays notice may stop work on all active permits that the person, corporation, LLC, partnership, contractor, owner, or the principals of the corporate entity in violation or any other person whose name is require on an application, has outstaning until all violations have been correcte, or until satisfactory bon has been given to the Boar of County Commissioners. If the person to whom the permit is issue fails to contact the Coe Official for a require inspection, in aition to all other requirements of this coe, a fine of an aitional $00.00 may be assesse an require to be pai for each misse inspection before the issuance of a use an occupancy permit In aition to all other fees incurre, at the iscretion of the Coe Official, aitional fees may be assesse for services outsie the scope of the aopte fee scheule for things such as the extension of a permit application, an extension of a permit, the issuance of a temporary use an occupancy permit or when aitional inspections are requeste. (6) Amen Chapter, Section 09.6, Refuns, to rea: In the case of a revocation of a permit or cancellation of permit pursuant to Section 05 or abanonment or iscontinuance of a builing project, the portion of the work actually complete shall be compute, an any excess fee for the incomplete work shall be returne to the permit holer, within 30 ays from the ate of cancellation. The contractor whose name appears as such on the permit must notify the Bureau of Permits an Inspections an request an inspection following each of the phases of construction. The contractor shall not procee with the construction of the next phase unless the inspection for the prior phase has been complete an approve Re-inspections.
