KG In order to meet the legal requirements of the food information regulations and to make a central product database available, so that all the demanded information can be made transparently available and in high quality to the retail trade, consumers and authorities, the Osnabruck based cold cuts and ham producer, Bedford GmbH & Co. KG commissioned their IT supplier SLA to develop a master data module for their system. With the module, additional information to every single product should be captured and stored in the ERP system, managed and made quickly available as required. The main goal was to better service all sales channels and thereby react to customer enquires more quickly and efficiently: when a customer requested detailed information to a specific product, this should be quickly and easily delivered. Finally, the management of the article master data should be simplified.
