5 Financial Accounts Accounting policies Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015) and under the historical cost accounting rules. Turnover policy Turnover represents amounts receivable for services provided net of VAT. All turnover arises in the UK. Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at 25% p.a. reducing balance on computer hardware, 10% p.a. reducing balance on computer software, and 20% p.a. reducing balance on fixtures and fittings. Leasehold improvements are depreciated over the term of the lease.
