2 The place: its history Castello Sforzesco Accademia Brera Montenapoleone The complex of the Chiostri dell Umanitaria was built together with the adjoining Church of Santa Maria della Pace, commissioned by Bianca di Visconti and completed in Today the cloisters make up an independent lay complex, managed by the charity organisation Umanitaria, which deals with providing assistance and work to the people in need. The complex, rich in colonnades and frescoes, embodies the artistic and cultural tradition of Italy within a single space. The premises can boast a few historical frescoes dating from the 15th century which were restored in the nineties. For the Expo 2015 semester, the premises will be exclusively managed by DNSEE, a leading communication agency in Italy. 4 Auditorium Height - 4,40 m Area with stage mq Area without stage mq The Auditorium is the largest indoor space in the entire complex. Provided with multimedia equipment and a wide stage, it is a venue like no other in Milan for typical presentation and entertainment activities. Its double span and wide spatial area make it an airy and elegant gala dinner hall, with a view to the east on the marvellous Giardino dell Arte e del Silenzio, and to the west on the Chiostro dei Pesci, its colonnade and the Salone degli Affreschi. On its own or in a combination, the Auditorium is the heart of a prestigious space with great versatility. Reachable from the airport and the train station, it lies just a few minutes walk from the Duomo. Thanks to its wide underground parking, it is the perfect solution for receptions, events and guests at the international level, as no other venue in Milan.

5 Chiostro dei Glicini Area mq The Chiostro dei Glicini has hosted film festivals and fashion shows, concerts, performances and even trendy clubs. It has always stood out for the magic of the atmosphere, the sense of being timeless and the minimalistic elegance of the setting. Its quadruple colonnade and the adjacent spaces Sala Bauer and Giardino dei Ciliegi (aside from the spacious service room), make it an intimate event centre with an impressive independent entrance. 6 Chiostro dei Pesci Area -670 mq The Chiostro dei Pesci, with its triple colonnade and wide space overlooked by a century-old oak tree, is rich in charisma. At the same time, it offers a sense of exclusivity and intimacy. It has two independent entrances, and it offers a nice view on three important rooms, which may be optionally rented too, individually or altogether in different combinations: > Il Salone degli Affreschi > Sala Facchinetti > L Auditorium At the back of the cloister, beyond two service rooms, the Cortile dei Tigli offers a cool shelter in the shade of large trees. According to the combination chosen, this area can host different types of events, for example awards ceremonies, conferences, gala nights, aperitifs, dinners and cocktail parties, permanent or temporary exhibitions, weddings and celebrations, concerts and performances.

7 Chiostro della Memoria Area mq The Chiostro della Memoria looks onto the back of the medieval church of Santa Maria della Pace. It is a unique place for its extraordinary view as well as for its marvellous two-storey colonnade. With an intimate atmosphere, yet spacious and luminous, it is the perfect venue for tastings, celebrations, presentations and photoshoots. As it lies at the heart of the premises, Siit can be combined with any of the other spaces. In addition, it is provided with three different options for an independent entrance.

8 Chiostro delle Statue Area mq The Chiostro delle Statue, located next to the café I Chiostri, is the first space that you find at the entrance. It is an intimate, accessible, shady space, which is suitable for installations, cocktail parties and celebrations. It is the perfect complement either to the Chiostro dei Pesci, of which it could be a preview area or a sumptuous entrance, or to the Chiostro della Memoria. In addition, it may be used in a triple combination with the Chiostro della Memoria and the Chiostro dei Glicini to enhance the splendour of the entire premises.

9 Giardino dei Ciliegi A unique garden in Milan, with original cherry trees imported from Japan, it lies right behind the Duomo and the Court of Milan. It is also the most refined and charming entrance in the entire complex. Together with the Sala Bauer and the Chiostro dei Glicini, it can host any type of event, from a small-scale fashion exhibition to a full-on fashion show, from a private executive meeting to a conference or a presentation with many guests.

10 Cortile dei Tigli Provided with an independent pedestrian entrance and driveway, the Cortile dei Tigli is the perfect complement to both the Chiostro dei Pesci and the Auditorium. It can be used as an extension of the outdoor spaces or as a loading-unloading and cooking area.

11 Giardino dell arte e del silenzio Area mq The Giardino dell Arte e del Silenzio, with its apple trees, fountains, wide meadow and gazebos, is a symbol of Italy in the heart of Milan. It s the central space of the venue, a true heart for those who want to enjoy it to the fullest. According to your needs, it may be rented in a combination with the Chiostro della Memoria, the Auditorium or with the entire complex.
