4 RR University Technology Centers (UTC) Rolls-Royce invested close to 500m on research and an increasing and majority share goes to a global network of University Technology Centres as part of the company s decentralized research and technology approach Virginia Tech & UVA are now members of the UTC network leveraging the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Propulsion Systems (CCAPS) and Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) CCAPS will serve as an advisory body to facilitate collaborative research with Rolls Royce
