OBJECTIVE The use of word multi is indeed multiplying in today s world, multi-nationals, multi-tasking, multi- dimensional, and why not multi-disciplinary. The sweeping changes in the global economic scenario have necessitated a strong demand for a breed of youngsters with the potential knowledge of law coupled with the core essentials of management and business to enhance productivity. With the object of catering to this demand unfolding before the students, and to enable them to explore these vistas of opportunities that lie ahead, we have commenced an integrated Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law degree programme (BBA LLB). Here we impart exhaustive knowledge to the students not only to survive but also to excel in the increasingly competitive world. 2. DURATION Five Years ( Full Time) 3. INTAKE 150 Seats 4. RESERVATION OF SEATS 1. Within the Sanctioned intake: SC :- 15%, ST :-7.5% Management Seats :-15 % Differently able :- 3% Wards of Serving/Retired Defence Personnel:- 5 % 2. Over and above the Sanctioned intake: Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats International Students, including PIO and NRI- 15% Sports Quota- 2 Seats per programme (subject to the Board of Management s approval) 5. ELIGIBILITY The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) examination from any recognized board with minimum

2 50% marks (45% for S.C. /S.T. students) in one attempt (No Compartment). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date. Age Limit: Candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for SET as on 02 May (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates i.e. 22 years) 6. SELECTION PROCEDURE Symbiosis Entrance Test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the short listed candidates. Final selection shall be based on the combined merit list of SET score (80%) and Group Discussion and personal interview (20%) 7. MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION English 8. PATTERN OF PROGRAMME 9. EXAMINATION & METHOD OF ASSESSMENT All Internal s will have 100% component as internal evaluation at the Institute level. All s will have 40% internal component and 60% component as external [University] exam. Internal and external heads of passing shall be separate head of passing. Internal evaluation shall consist of one project (20 marks) and minimum 2 of the following (10 marks each): Tutorial, case analysis, cases and open problems, essays, seminar presentations, viva-voce, quiz, drafting, moot court, mock trial, learning logs/diaries, computer based assessment, simulated interviews, objective structured clinical examinations.

3 12. STANDARD OF PASSING The assessment of the students for each course is done based on the relative performance of the student compared to the class average. Maximum GP is 4 corresponding to A+. For all the courses, a student is required to pass both internal and external exams separately with a minimum Grade Point of 1.6 corresponding to the grade of D- Grade Point Average. 13. AWARD OF DEGREE BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND BACHELOR OF LAWS (BBA.LL.B.) will be awarded at the end of 10 TH semester examination by taking into consideration the performance of all 10 semesters examinations after obtaining minimum 2.00 CGPA out of 4 CGPA.

10 Semester IX Title of the Credit Internal Compulsory s Total Labour and Industrial Law Drafting, Pleading and Conveyance (Clinical I) Alternative Dispute Resolution (Clinical II) Elective 5 : Choose Any One of the following Comparative Criminal Procedure Comparative Constitution Investment Law Trade and Services in Emigration Total The course will be taught class instructions and simulation exercises, preferably with assistance of practicing lawyers/retired judges. Apart from teaching the relevant provisions of law, the course may include not less than 15 practical exercises in drafting carrying a total of 60 marks (4 marks each) and 15 exercises in Conveyancing carrying another 60 marks (4 marks each) remaining 30 marks will be given for viva voce. Vive voce examination will be conducted by a panel consisting of internal and external members (appointed by the Symbiosis International University). 4 The course will be conducted by senior legal practitioners through simulation and case studies. Evaluation will be conducted in practical exercises for 120 marks and viva voce for 30 marks. 11 Semester X Title of the Credit Internal Total Professional Ethics and Professional Accounting Systems (Clinical III) Moot Court Exercise and Internship (Clinical IV) Projects and Presentation Financial and Systemic Fraud Elective: Choose Any One of the following UNCITRAL Model s Total This course will be conducted through class instructions and simulation exercises, in association with practicing lawyers. Evaluation will include written test (80 marks), case study (20 marks), Periodical problem solution (20 marks) and viva-voce (30 marks). Vive voce examination will be conducted by a panel consisting of internal and external members (appointed by the Symbiosis International University). 7 This course will have three components: a. Moot Court (Three moot courts with 10 marks each= 30 marks); b. Observance of Trial in two cases, one Civil and one Criminal (30 marks); and c. Interviewing techniques and Pretrial preparations and as per the given format, cumulative Internship diary (60 marks). Each student will further observe the preparation of documents and court papers by the Advocate and the procedure for the filing of the suit/petition. This will be recorded in a seaparate diary. In addition to the above three components, the fourth component will be Viva Voce examination on all the above three aspects (30 marks). Vive voce examination will be conducted by a panel consisting of internal and external members (appointed by the Symbiosis I nternational University).
