3 Schmick Gold What repairs are covered exactly? Any Repair $50 Fixed Fee Bumper Bars Bumpers are commonly damaged through low speed accidents on busy roads or misjudged parking. A qualified Schmick technician can repair bumper damage back to new. Paint Chips and Small Deep Scratches Large deep paint chips or small deep scratches down to metal are often the unfortunate result of fast-flying stones on busy roads. Schmick can expertly repair scratch and chip damage on all vertical panels, returning them back to new. Dents Shopping trolleys and other drivers car doors are largely responsible for most car dents. Rest assured: Schmick can repair dents on all flat panels and in most cases retain your original paintwork. Light Scratches Surface scratches are commonly caused by things such as driving to close to an overgrown bush, camping, handbags, cats and dogs. But more importantly, we remove entry points for corrosive road salts and moisture, helping prevent rust damage down the road. Car interiors are vulnerable to all sorts of damage, from children, sharp objects and cigarette burns to accessory installations such as GPS and mobile phone holders. Schmick can provide amazing repairs of holes, scratches and tears on leather, vinyl and other fabrics. As the widest points of your car, your mirror casing can be easily clipped, especially in tight spaces. A visit from Schmick will have your reflection grinning back at you in no time at all. It s all too easy to scrape and scratch your prized alloys on gutters and other roadside obstacles. 5 Repairs Guide Overview Benefits Paint Chips and Small Deep Scratches Deep scratches or large chips up to 20mm in diameter can be easily erased on vertical panels, leaving the surface looking like new. Plastic Body Kits (optional) Repair, colour match and expertly paint scratches, scuffs, scrapes or dents on any plastic side skirts, spoilers and door bump strips up to 500mm in length and 30mm in depth. (Excludes decals.) Dents Dents up to 50mm on any flat panel can be repaired, and in most cases retain original paintwork. Painted Alloy Wheels (optional) Scrapes and scratches to your prized possessions can be repaired, colour-matched and blended away. (Excludes chrome and machine finished wheels) Light Scratches Scratches extending over as many as 4 panels can be completely removed. 7 Schmick Savings Request a Repair Gold Membership costs To become a Schmick Car Care Gold member, there is a one-only low cost joining fee and annual membership fee. With our unique 3 year fixed fee period, you have the peace and mind of knowing that your low annual fee is locked in. So once you re a member, Schmick guarantees no further price rises during this period. (Memberships that aren t renewed within 28 days of expiry become non-renewable but don t worry: we will send you a renewal form with plenty of notice.) Cost per repair Gold members only pay the $50.00 (fixed fee) for each included repair. You can request a repair as many times as you need during the term of your membership. 8 FAQ s 1. Is the joining fee a once off payment? Yes the joining fee is only paid once on first joining, thereafter you only pay the low annual renewal fee to remain a member. 2. What is the service area? The service area is the geographic area where Schmick will travel to do repairs. This is typically the greater metropolitan area of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and some larger regional cities. As specified on the website. 3. What happens if I move outside the service area? You simply need to come back into the service area to have a repair done. 4. Does it matter if my car is registered under a business name? No. Providing it is not used commercially or as a tool of trade. i.e. courier, taxi. If your business has one or more vehicles we recommend considering the Schmick Corporate Fleet program. 5. How many times can I request a repair? Unlimited during the term of your membership: each repair will only incur the fixed fee. 6. If I have 3 repairs done at once, how much will this cost? Simple. Just 3 x the fixed repair fee. 7. Once I become a member, is there a waiting period before I can request a repair? Yes, the waiting period is 45 days from membership commencement. 8. How do I request a repair? Simply call during normal business hrs or online at 9. When I request a repair, when do I pay the fixed repair fee? On completion of the repair work either by credit, debit card or EFT. 10. How long will it take to have a repair attended to after the request is made? The maximum time allowed is 21 days. However we attempt to have repairs attended to as quickly as possible and normally within 7 days. 11. Who determines whether or not a requested repair falls under the program? Your Schmick technician will make the assessment and discuss this with you once he has viewed the repair required. 12. Is there a fee if you call out to find the repair is not covered? No. 13. What do you require from me when doing a repair? A suitable area such as a drive way, private car park, car port or garage and access to power within 25 meters of where the repair is to be conducted. 14. Can a repair be done at my place of work? Repairs can be undertaken anywhere there is a suitable work space as specified in the T&C s. 15. Is my membership transferable? Yes. Your membership is transferable to another vehicle providing the new vehicle is 4 years or younger and purchased through a new and used car dealership. Or alternatively the membership maybe able to stay with the car on resale and transferred to the new owner.
