5 Technical Services Provided Over the past 3 years parkbytext has provided clients with the services detailed below. White List This is where every transaction through parkbytext is placed automatically on the White List for a specified period of time so that the enforcement officer is aware that the car is legitimately parked i.e. paid up, staff, authorised vehicle, or has a virtual permit. Account Holder & Non-account Holder parkbytext customers can also be a non-account holder with approximately 15% using this method of payment. Apps & WEB Pre-pay on line parkbytext is seeing a big shift to drivers using the app as a preferred method of payment and control of their account, with up to 30% of transactions originating from here. Corporate Accounts Corporate accounts are for business customers who have multiple vehicles to register, who can be billed or top up the one account for the company. Virtual Permits parkbytext is seeing many clients move to Virtual Permits while using the White List to control them. This reduces the cost of administration, paper permits or scratch cards over time. Enforcement and reporting is the same as all systems are fully integrated with POAM (parking operations and management), the parkbytext software system, and the White List to the back office and enforcement personnel. ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition In certain jurisdictions enforcement is via automated tickets and this allows parkbytext to record a vehicle when entering the parking area and exiting accordingly if they are an account holder or alternatively issue a fine if enforcement is required.

Visitor Parking Visitor Parking has a variable cost which is billed to the customer s mobile. This short code text based system works very well where revenue is not the key driver and or short stay / low tariff parking may be applicable i.e. motorcycle bays, taxi ranks, loading bays. The benefit is not so much the revenue but to keep a record of who is parking, when and how often. The vehicle is placed automatically on a white list like all other parkbytext transactions. Telecommunications Support Both the SMS and IVR numbers belong to the client. parkbytext constantly monitor and amend, where necessary, communication channels text, IVR, apps, web and call centre, which is open 24/7, 365 days of the year. Reporting parkbytext provides real-time reporting using the parkbytext back-office web system called POAM. Clients have their own logins to see all information relating to their locations. Bespoke reports are issued based on a client s desires and requirements with real time data to suit their needs. Enforcement & Operation Support parkbytext supports the full operation of a phone payment system and ensure that the current phone system is at the very least replicated so there is no loss of customer know-how or satisfaction. parkbytext 2Bill Direct Carrier Billing parkbytext have now introduced a new and innovative service called parkbytext 2Bill which allows customers to pay for their parking using their mobile phone bill or credit. This is a first in the European parking sector and offers customers another way of parking with greater convenience and ease. Banking & Accounts Support includes: Taking payment card details from the customer and maintaining the customers E-wallet Opening and closing accounts Accounting for refunds on account closures and correct any valid incorrect transactions Reconciling, banking and reporting on retail payments from an Post and Post Point Transferring all parking transaction monies as decided.
7 Virtual Permits Parking with no Permit? Virtual Permits are the answer! To make full use of electronic and web services virtual or e-permits are the way forward. This has major benefits in reducing costs, administration and they are environmentally friendly. Real time updates to the enforcement operator s handheld Integrated with ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) As the traditional method of identifying vehicles by displaying a hardcopy permit subsides virtual permits are key to the future of parking management in reducing cost and being more environmentally friendly. The problem arises in maintaining a customer and client focused operating system to ensure the management and issue of permits is controlled and easy to use. In practice the car registration plate becomes the permit. Once the car registration plate is registered with parkbytext the vehicle can be parked within the rules at that location. Primarily the registering of vehicles should be on line in the new e-commerce world but applications via post or in person may be need to be adopted for customers without access to the internet. Renewals can also be done by , text or post on request. parkbytext fully integrates with our white list POAM tool which allows for the ease of web based reports, interfacing with the enforcement operator s handheld and providing the client with the ability to monitor and manage the level of permit issues and income. 8 Visitor Text Service parkbytext visitor text service uses mobile phone short code technology to record a visitor parking session via the white list management system. Trouble monitoring visitor or temporary spaces both long or short stay? Need a solution to track motorcycle bay usage but not penalise the motorcyclist? Want to build an automatic database of parking usage and patterns both on and off street? APP The visitor text service provided by parkbytext can alleviate the need for temporary paper permits, administration, phone calls whilst generating automated reports and income with just a small charge to the driver by text! A simple text generated by the motorist will update their details to our database e.g. temp 1005 (location code) abc1234 (vehicle registration). Once captured the information is instantly updated to CEO s handheld, PDA, iphone or other smartphones. Parking durations can be set for specified times e.g. hourly, daily or for a number of minutes is required and rules such as maximum usage per week can also be added. Reports can then be generated via the white list management system to track all vehicles registered and monitor payment levels. Texts can also be supplemented with premium rate phone numbers to automatically record vehicle details by voice over IVR if so required. This simple payment and registration method allows for a powerful management tool for the local authority / property owner. It also provides for a low cost payment solution for the motorist where parking charges are not solely required and identification is key. Additionally there is a substantial saving in back office cost, stationery and parking equipment maintenance.
