3 Dear student/researcher, The close ties between Sweden and Japan are firmly built on people-topeople contacts and exchanges. This constant and dynamic flow of people and ideas brings our two countries together - and makes them both better. As students and researchers, you represent an important part of this vital exchange. In this booklet we have collated information about scholarships and research grants available to Japanese students wishing to study in Sweden and Swedish students wishing to study in Japan. The programs range from undergraduate student exchanges to postdoctoral research fellowships. While the main focus is on studies or projects lasting at least one academic term, some more short-term programs are also included. The information has been collected from open sources available as per September We apologise for any mistakes or omissions. Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo October
