Each chip allows companies 12 months of cash-free project activity to reduce risk 3. Earn more chips Companies who cash co-fund projects earn back 1 additional chip for each year of cash co-funding Promotes risk taking. Rewards active companies. 18 Other recommendations At this stage of tech development companies should have very generous IP terms (NERF as standard) before risk is reduced Profit for researcher providers comes when the company starts putting the technology into actual product with significant supporting budgets Beware of long timeline from inception to economic impact
