5 Attending : Alexandre Pagot Producer 5m80 de Nicolas Devaux - Cube Creative Productions CUBE CREATIVE PRODUCTIONS Cube is a 10 years old experience company, created in 2002 by former employees of world-famous animation/special effects house «Ex Machina», Lionel Fages, Majid Loukil and Bruno Le Levier. Every year, Cube take part in the conception and creation of an impressive amount of 2D/3D animation or mixed media films, on any kind of media and in any size: 3D, moving ride, HD, 35 or 70mm. The company has 10 full-time employees and between 20 and 50 freelancers depending on the work in progress. One hundred percent of the freelance staff comes from the greatest animation schools, they are all chosen on the strength of their short student films. 6 Canal+ - The bear MIKROS IMAGE Founded in 1985 by its current CEO, Maurice Prost, Mikros image is dedicated to visual effects and is a major player in the post production industry. In early 2007, the Italian media group and public company, Mediacontech, acquired the total capital of the company Mikros image. Managed by Gilles Gaillard, Mikros image encompasses all aspects of post production: advertising, feature films, TV, video clips, videogames and corporate communication. Mikros image delivers over 400 projects per year, covering all fields (feature and short films, advertising, TV, corporate communication, videogames and video clips). Attending : Gilles Gaillard CEO Baptiste Andrieux Executive Producer chez EightVFX With its headquarters in France, Mikros image is home of 170 full-time collaborators and works regularly with about 120 freelance artists. 7 The Ile de France Film Commission The Ile de France Film Commission s main duties are to facilitate filming in the region by offering French and foreign film crews the best possible work conditions and production framework and to facilitate the setting up of French and foreign coproductions so as to make the Ile de France region a prime location for international productions. Besides, the Film Commission ensures that the Ile de France region features in all the main professional events of the sector, particularly in countries with large-scale film and audiovisual production that could potentially generate work in the region. The Commission s goal is to identify projects in the planning stage and encourage promoters to use the Ile de France region for filming and production activity. Since 2007, the Ile de France Film Commission organizes the event Parisfx, two days dedicated to digital creation. Parisfx is a unique event in France focused on digital visual effects, CGI and 3D, in cinema, television, advertising and video games. Parisfx proposes, during two days, case studies and conferences on the major productions of the year or the upcoming year. More than 2000 visitors attended Parisfx in 2012 (producers, line producers, directors, post-production houses, CGI artists, animation schools, etc.). The next Parisfx will take place on December 4-5, The Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States The French Cultural Services provides French and American artists, intellectuals, arts professionals, and the general public a platform and resources for cultural exchange. It is dedicated to creating transatlantic dialogue in the arts and education from French and American perspectives. Based in New York City, Washington D.C., and eight other cities across the US, the French Cultural Services principal fields of action are the arts, literature, cinema, French language programs and higher education.
