2 Instructions This application format is for the use of model aircraft that are in excess of the 35Kg weight definition or for AMA visitors to Canada with a valid Flight Permit for the AMA Experimental Class for models weighing lbs. Applicants are reminded that a model is defined for recreational purposes only by the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR). You should be aware of the CAR particularly those sections pertaining to UAVs. You can gain access to the CAR through the Transport Canada Website To determine which of the attached forms to use follow the flow diagram below.
