3 Prospectus. Dates: May 9-, 00. Venues:.. Main Venue: Salle Omnisports de l'anse Vata.. Venue bis: Salle Jean Noyant - Motor Pool - Noumea - New Caledonia (500m from the main venue). Events Under-8 (Born on or after January st, 986).. Boys' Teams.. Girls' Teams.. Boys' Singles.. Girls' Singles.5. Boys' Doubles.6. Girls' Doubles. Participation.. Entry is open to players from Associations/Federations affiliated to the ITTF... In team events, each Association/Federation may enter up to teams, each with a minimum of two and a maximum of players... In individual events, there is no limit on the number of the entries from one Association/Federation... Players may participate in singles, doubles and teams events..5. All players are required to present their passports or birth certificates to confirm their ages upon arrival. 5. Methods of play 5.. The current ITTF Rules and Regulations shall be adopted for the Championships. 5.. The singles events shall be played in two stages: the round-robin group system shall be used in the first stage, with the top players in each group progressing into a second stage knock-out. All matches shall be the best of seven (7) games. 5.. For doubles events the knock-out system shall be used. All matches shall be the best of five (5) games. 5.. For team events the knock-out system shall be used. The old Corbillon Cup format (A-X, B-Y, a doubles, A-Y, B-X) shall be used with matches decided over the best of five (5) games The Organizing Committee reserves the right to adjust or cancel event(s), into which less than five players or four teams are entered The Girls and Boys Singles (under-8 category) shall adopt the ITTF regulations for the World Junior Circuit. 6. Entry forms shall be received by the New Caledonia Table Tennis Association before March 5, Arrival and departure information shall be received by the New Caledonia Table Tennis Association at least two () weeks before your arrival. 8..The entry fee payable shall be US$0 per person and this shall be paid upon arrival. 9.Managers Meeting and Draw 9.. A Team Managers Meeting shall be held on Monday 7th of May, 00 at 7.0pm in the main venue. 9.. The timing of the draw meetings shall be advised at this meeting. 0. Schedule (tentative) Wednesday 9 th May 9.00 am to 5.00 pm team events 7.00 pm opening ceremony 7.0 pm to 9.0 pm team events Thursday 0 th May 9.00 am to 5.0 pm team events 7.0 pm to 9.0 pm team finals Friday st May 9.00 am to 5.0 pm singles & doubles 7.0 pm to 9.0 pm doubles semi-final & finals Saturday nd May 9.00 am singles.00 pm to 6.00 pm singles semi-final & finals. Training camp.. A training camp shall be organized before the Championships, from May 6th to May 8th, The camp shall be conducted by ITTF appointed Coaches. Those who wish to take part in this training camp are requested to indicate this on their Entry Forms... The cost of the training camp is US$0 per person per day on twin room basis, or US$75 per person per day on single room basis. For the South Pacific Island countries, the cost is US$ 8 per person in a boarding school (limited places)... Transport shall be provided by the organizing committee..5 All participating players shall be responsible for their own meal expenses; fast food and restaurants are close to the venue. Cold meals and snacks can be provided at the venue at noon for US$6 to US$8. Breakfast shall be available in the hotels for US$6 to US$7. (Negotiations are ongoing to lower these prices). Hospitality.. All participating teams and players shall be responsible for their own travel expenses...the Organizing Committee shall provide Hotel accommodation ( star) at the rate of US$0 per day per person on twin room basis (a total of US$00 per person (5 nights) for the -day tournament on May 9-, 00), or US$75 per day per person on single room basis (a total of US$75 per person (5 nights) for the -day tournament). Please book as soon as possible. The Hotel charge shall be paid upon arrival... Higher standard Hotels are available ( star, star and 5 star), but not as close to the venue. Please contact the organizing committee if you are interested in this alternative... Transportation: Most of the Hotels are within walking distance of the venue, otherwise the Organizing Committee shall provide any transportation required.. Flight bookings All participating teams and players should make their air travel bookings promptly, as these Championships are during the holiday season in New Caledonia, and some flights may already be fully booked. So please

5 make arrangements now, to participate in the ITTF World Junior Circuit event in Noumea.. Visas New Caledonia is a French Territory and citizens of some countries need visas.
