4 Cedar Valley College, a community of leaders developing leaders through student success. Cedar Valley College was opened in 1977, Its award winning architecture and careful attention to landscaping have given the college a reputation for being considered one of the most scenic business sites in the Dallas area. The college is located on 353 acres just south of I-20 on Lancaster Road in the Southern Sector of Dallas County. CVC serves the communities of Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Hutchins, Lancaster, Seagoville and Wilmer in addition to a few others. Cedar Valley is one of seven colleges in the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). More than 4,000 students benefit from our comprehensive curriculum, which includes academic transfer, career programs (including workforce development training for area employers) and non-credit continuing education courses such as real estate, computers, language and music. CVC has nationally recognized veterinary technology and music recording technology programs.
