2 INTRODUCTION Data Recovery Services, LLC (DRS), the region s premier provider of data center services and hybrid cloud computing solutions, in partnership with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is happy to announce the Northeast Ohio Technology Summit. This event is designed to provide an opportunity for select vendors and IT solutions provider companies to present their latest technology and solutions to a group of over 200 northeastern OH and western PA business decision makers. This year s event will focus on using technology to deliver a strategic advantage for your company. The structure of the event: In order to appeal to the widest possible audience, the workshop will be split into three tracks, including: CIO/IT Director Track Technology Professionals Track Business Owner/Executive Track Special Session for Non-Profit Organizations The tracks will be tailored for small businesses and for medium-sized businesses. During the course of the full-day event, there will be three workshop sessions for each track; two morning workshop sessions for each track and one afternoon session for each track. We will be able to hold a workshop for each track simultaneously. Each workshop session will be 50 minutes in length, and will consist of information that is tailored to each specific track s audience. 2

9 Tech Giveaway Bringing Technology to the Community: It s CommunIT At DRS, we understand the importance of technology in today s world. While, technology helps the world go around, lack of technology can be a huge barrier for organizations. That s why we decided to develop the CommunIT award. CommunIT will provide at least $30,000 in technology equipment and services to a nonprofit that needs the assistance to grow and continue to serve the Mahoning Valley. The winner will also receive a website makeover donated by PALO Creative. Four other finalists will each receive an in depth analysis of their technology systems and a technology roadmap to guide future efforts. The package for finalists is valued at $4,000. Ohio-based nonprofits with a 501(c)3 designation are eligible to enter. 14 PATRICK J. BATEMAN Keynote Speaker Patrick J. Bateman is an Assistant Professor at the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University. He has a background as a financial analyst, corporate education manager, and technical analyst in the banking and financial services industries. His teaching and research interests include the organizational use of information systems, as well as the dynamics of social media and individuals use of interactive media. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Systems at the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. 14

15 PATRICK GRAY Keynote Speaker Patrick Gray joined Cisco Systems as its Principal Security Strategist after serving as the Director of X-Force Operations, Office of the Chief Technology Officer, Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISS). While part of the ISS, he created the X-Force Internet Threat Intelligence Center, becoming the Director of the Penetration Testing and Emergency Response Teams until his promotion to the X-Force R & D Team. Gray also comes to Cisco Systems after twenty years of service as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Gray served as a supervisory special agent at FBI Headquarters in the Intelligence Division where he was responsible for global counterintelligence investigations. Gray continued to serve the FBI in a handful of its other departments, including the Drug and Violent Gang Program in Georgia, the Technical Services Squad, the FBI s first regional Cyber Crime Squads and the FBI s elite Computer Assistance Response Team. As a result of his service with the FBI, and the Internet Threat Intelligence Center, Gray has first-hand knowledge of the hacking community, its aims and methodologies as they attack government, e-commerce, energy and financial entities relentlessly. Gray has lectured at Colleges and Universities around the country. He has spoken at numerous technology events around the world including Gartner Sector 5, Networld Interop, the IT World Congress, CIO Summit, GE Access, Forbes and others. He has been quoted in numerous newspapers, magazine articles and periodicals and makes regular cable television appearances. 15
