3 GO UNIVERSITY STUDENT HANDBOOK Foreword from the Founders Foreword from the Founders Ken and Yvonne Hale-Chance We welcome you to the Inaugural year of GO University and what an exciting time it is to be involved. Ken and I are passionate about Jesus and the training of men and women for Christian Ministry in the Nations. We want to see the fulfillment of Matthew And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come, indeed the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We have been blessed to travel to most Nations of the World and minister - WE see ourselves as Gospel Torch Bearers/Carriers of the Gospel Nation s Fire and we want to transfer our fire and passion to others and assist them in every way we can, to GO too. Statistics tell us that only 15% of Christian Men and Women walk in the divine call of God for their lives (Destiny). Jesus tells us in Matthew 7.14 that, But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. We are well aware that as Christians step up and begin to step out into the Nations and the call upon their lives the enemy is never more active to deter them than at this time. One of our favourite verses is: John From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and the violent take it by force. In other words, only they; men/women, whose minds are made up and who care not what force they need to employ to attain the Kingdom, will attain it. We are taking the Kingdom by force and want to prepare you to do this too. GO University is a University to train up Ministers, Pastors, Youth Pastors, Worship Pastors, Laymen and those called to the Five Fold Ministry in the Nations. It is not a University for the fainthearted. It s a University that is training soldiers for the great battle of the last days harvest for souls. Indeed the greatest harvest and greatest battle of all time! We have a wide range of courses to choose from, our programs are exciting, challenging and are structured to give you a great balance between practical and theory. We use the highest quality materials, and have practicum/practical places across the globe with a wide variety of ministry opportunities available to our students during and upon successful completion of any of our courses. Our programs are available to you both online, on campus (in Ireland) and mixed mode. Our University also includes an option to study in our International Apostolic School which has an Apostolic and Prophetic focus and also our School of Worship for those wanting to prepare for Worship Leadership and/or Worship Pastoral roles. The University will have a strong Global Missions Focus, provision for Missionary Alliance and Global Placements.

6 6 GO UNIVERSITY STUDENT HANDBOOK 2015 GLOBAL PLACEMENT PROGRAM In partnership with Yvonne Hale Ministries International and the Living Faith Global Church network, GO University is able to place students in practical ministry opportunities around the globe. These short term missions trips offer the unique opportunity to practice what you are learning in the training and also to gain valuable field experience. Yvonne Hale, Founder of GO International, is an evangelist who has traveled solo into some of the toughest communities around the globe including Pakistan (Taliban areas), Nepal, Ghana and India. From these travels she has gained valuable knowledge and made personal contacts with Christians at the cutting edge of Missions. Yvonne will be sharing her experiences as part of her role with GO University. I am so excited to be founding GO University because when I was ready to go to the nations, I had to do it all the hard way. There was no-one there to show me the way, I simply said, Here I am Lord, send me and then didn t ask questions when he told me where to go. I vividly remember being in the back of a jeep, being driven to a meeting in West Africa. I was crying because I was the only white woman there, my luggage got lost and I was seriously afraid for my life. But when my foot hit the platform at the gathering of thousands of people, the anointing hit me and I realised this was exactly where I was meant to be and what I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life. Since then, I have been around the world several times and I can t wait for the next God adventure. - Yvonne Hale, Founder

10 10 GO UNIVERSITY STUDENT HANDBOOK 2015 Courses You Can Study At GO university we offer the following accredited qualifications: Associate Degree Degree Masters Doctorate Degree Credit Programs Degrees offered are in Religious areas only. Associate The Associate program is designed to provide an introduction in the fields of Biblical studies and theology. The program is foundational and provides insight for both laity and those who wish to become involved in active ministry. A total of seventy-two trimester units is required with a minimum of twentyone credits earned through AMT/IAS. A 2.5 GPA is required on a scale of 4.0. Bachelor The Bachelor program is designed to provide enrichment in the areas of Biblical truths and effective ministry. Both the laity and those pursuing active ministry will benefit from this program. A total of 144 trimester units is required (This includes seventy-two units from the Associate program.) At least forty-two credits must be taken with AMT/IAC. A 2.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0 is required. Degrees Offered and Abbreviations Associate of Biblical Studies A.B.S. Associate of Ministry A.Min. Associate of Bible Theology A.B.Th. Bachelor of Biblical Studies B.B.S. Bachelor of Bible Theology B.Th. Bachelor of Ministry B.Min. 11 Requirements for Each Level of Degree GO UNIVERSITY STUDENT HANDBOOK Associate Degree A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent of equivalency testing with GO University is required to receive a degree and should be completed before beginning college courses. Twenty-four courses are required for a total of seventy-two (72) credit hours to attain an Associate Degree. The 24 courses required may be adjusted due to participation in Chapel, Seminars, and Christian Service, by the International Dean. View course subjects for Associate of Ministry Online now. Courses and Requirements Bachelor Degree An Associate Degree in Bible or Theology, plus an additional twenty-four courses are required for a total of one hundred forty-four (144) credit hours to attain a Bachelor Degree. Master Degree A Bachelor Degree of a religious nature is required to enter the Graduate program of GO University. A transcript from college/colleges where Undergraduate Degree/Degrees were conferred are required. Sixty -credit hours are required at this level to graduate. All Master Degree studies must come through the accrediting office in the United States. View course subjects Online now. Doctorate Degree A Master Degree of a religious nature is required to enter the Doctorate program. A transcript from college/colleges where a Master Degree was granted is required. Sixty credit hours are required at this level to graduate. All Doctorate studies must come through the AMT office in the United States. Only Degrees that are religious in nature, such as Bible, Theology, or Ministry, are awarded from AMT/IAS. Bible, Theology, and Practical Ministry courses are taught to give students a solid foundation. Some credit may be given from life experience and the transfer of some Liberal Arts credits may be applied. Percentile testing is allowed one (1) time for a percentage of credit hours in Bible courses. Students are asked to submit a complete ministry and secular resume to be considered in their evaluation. Each applicant is an individual and each situation must be evaluated on this basis. Graduate Degree Program Offered Biblical Studies, Biblical Counseling, Pastoral Studies, Religious Education, Christian Education, Ministry, Divinity (usually given in an honorary setting), Christian Counseling, and Theology. Emphasis or major would be required in an area that the student pursues, such as: Teaching, Research, Missions, Leadership, Counseling, Administration, or Evangelism.

12 12 GO UNIVERSITY STUDENT HANDBOOK 2015 Studying On Campus Our Campus at the Castle For students wanting to have an oncampus experience, we will be offering accommodation at our fabulous Ballyards Castle campus in Armagh, Northern Ireland. This beautiful 17th Century Castle has a wonderful history and many have commented on how deep their sense of God s presence was when they stayed at the Castle. Accommodation Options There are two accommodation options for students studying at our Northern Ireland Campus: 1. Accommodation On The Castle Type: Dorms Number: 6 pérsons in a room. Cost: Available upon request Benefits: No Transportation Cost, No extra Utility Costs and Working programme available to reduce the cost of Boarding. 2. Accommodations Off House Type: Individual Room Number: Single Accommodation Cost: Available upon request. Benefits: Privacy and Independence. Costings available on our website.

GO Evangelism How to evangelise in the nations. GO Ministry How to plant churches in the nations. GO Church Planting Introduction to Ministry Why not try one of our short courses and get a feel for GO s teaching program? These courses may be used as credit towards award programs. We have an online portal that enables students to attend the University from anywhere in the world that they have access to the internet. It s simple and easy to use. The process is as follows: 1 Apply to study with GO University ONLINE Campus 2 Receive your letter of Offer & Enrol for our Online Campus 3 Login and take the tour of the easy to use Edmodo platform 4 Study at your own pace attending live online events 5 The same opportunities to GO on Global Mission Trips like those who are onsite

15 Policies GO UNIVERSITY STUDENT HANDBOOK Fee Payment Policy All fees must be paid in advance or a time-to-pay binding contract entered into prior to the commencement of any training. If a student fails to pay within agreed timeframes, legal proceedings will be undertaken to recover fees. In the event of a withdrawal from the college, a non-refundable admissions fee of $200 will be recovered. On-Campus Options & Policies Deferrment Policy Students may defer studies, however, if deferrment occurs after the four week exclusion period, full fees for that semester will be incurred. Deferrment is at the discretion of the Registrar. Withdrawal Policy Students may withdraw from study anytime within the first four weeks of study without penalty. Withdrawal must be in writing and acknowledged by the Registrar to be official. Any student withdrawing after the the four week exclusion date will incurr full fees for that semester. Complaints Resolution Policy If a student has a complaint, they should first speak to the person that is causing their issue. If it is not resolved, then please approach Student Services. If it is a serious complaint, please put it in writing and forward to registrar@gouniversity.org. We take complaints very seriously and will investigate thoroughly all complaints. Disciplinary Action Policy In the event of misconduct, disciplinary action will be taken. A warning will be given depending on the severity of the misconduct. If the warning is not heeded, a second warning will be given. If this is not heeded, the student will be expelled. Should the misconduct be on the part of a lecturer, formal disciplinary action will be taken. All formal complaints about Lecturers should be forwarded to registrar@gouniversity.org.
