1 Articulation Course Guide and High School Teacher Requirements This document outlines courses approved by for high school articulation consideration along with teacher qualification and certification requirements and terms of engagement. Courses are fundamental and introductory in nature and are selected by each department as appropriate for articulation purposes. Teacher qualifications and terms of engagement are determined course by course by faculty specific to meeting instructional area requirements. Teacher certification is defined by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board and is based on the secondary teacher s current license from the department of public instruction. The renewal of this certification must be done every 5 years by taking the Instructor version of the ServSafe exam and obtaining a minimum score of 90%. Page 4 of 12

For Math classes the HS teacher must have a current DPI license in the discipline of articulated course AND Master s degree or above in math OR master s degree in education or curriculum with at least 18 graduate credits in math (Preferred credential) OR Dean approval as listed above. For Science classes the HS teacher must have a current DPI license in the discipline of articulated course AND Master s degree or above in specific science discipline being taught OR master s degree in education or curriculum with at least 18 graduate credits in specific discipline (biology, chemistry or physics) being taught (Preferred credential) OR Dean approval as listed above.
