3 Course Description The mission of this two day conference is to present the latest information on CT screening for lung cancer including the diagnostic workup and treatment issues for these screen-diagnosed early lung cancers. Day 1 focuses on the component issues of screening and the resulting work-up of findings. It starts with an interesting case of multi-disciplinary session with audience participation which will focus on challenging aspects of the screening process. A forum will be held at the end of the day for questions from the audience to be addressed by a panel of experts. Day 2 focuses on the component issues of treatment of early lung cancer. It will start with an interesting case of multidisciplinary session with audience participation which will focus on challenges and aspects regarding treatment decisions. Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Describe the principals of a successful lung cancer screening program with a focus on critical performance measures. Assess the development and current state of lung cancer screening so physicians can make appropriate recommendations to patients who are interested in screening. Identify potential issues concerning CT screening in the surgical management of lung cancer. Who Should Attend Primary Care Physicians, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, General Practitioners, Radiologists, Surgeons, Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, Epidemiologists, Nurse Practitioners & other Allied Health Professionals.
