2 With AppliTrack, Anchorage School District HR Department Improves Hiring Process, Saving Significant Time, Resources Anchorage School District (ASD) educates almost 48,000 students and is ranked 94th in size among U.S. school districts. With a diverse student population, the district serves the south central Alaska communities of Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak and Girdwood. From Frontline Technologies, AppliTrack is the leading talent management solution for K-12, offering web-based recruiting, selection and HR file management solutions for school districts. AppliTrack serves more than 3,000 clients across the U.S., including more than 14 percent of the public school districts in the country. Since they began utilizing Frontline Technologies powerful, web-based software tools, ASD HR staff members have been successfully hiring and managing topnotch employees, spending more time striving to secure quality educators, and reducing the overall amount of paperwork associated with employee management --- all in a simple, affordable, automated and paperless manner. Saying Goodbye to Old School Pen and Paper Approach ASD s old hiring process was inefficient and challenging. ASD officials required an efficient solution that would help streamline their traditional pen and paper approach to recruiting and hiring employees. Previously, the district s HR staff would receive countless resumes and applications throughout the year, said Robb Boyer Donohue, ASD Executive Director, HR Staffing and Operations. Upon receipt of these thousands of applications, a lengthy and tedious process would begin, which included opening each and every piece of mail, reviewing applications, and sorting them. HR staff would also then have to place the applications in one of over one dozen, cumbersome filing cabinets. The old system, Boyer Donohue said, was quite time-consuming and complex, and did not always connect school administrators with the most suitable, qualified candidates. Not only was our previous approach complicated, but it served as a disadvantage to the applicants and our schools, he said. 01

3 HR Technology Cloud Solution Helps ASD Eliminate Inefficient Hiring Processes After researching possible technology solutions six years ago, ASD officials made the decision to dramatically improve their hiring process. By leveraging AppliTrack, ASD has been able to successfully implement a more accessible and efficient hiring process. AppliTrack supports school districts HR staff in countless ways; for example, the software can help distribute job information electronically, receive on-line applications, assess applicants, notify applicants of the outcome of the hiring process, and eliminate much human labor and paper usage.
