2 1 Abut this appendix (a) This appendix sets ut the value added service features available with the Jeenee Mbile Service. (b) (c) The fees and charges fr each value added service feature is set ut in the table assciated with that value added service feature. Please check this infrmatin carefully t see what fees and charges apply t yur use f a value added service feature. The meaning f the wrds printed like this is set ut at the end f the relevant service descriptin r in the cnsumer terms. 2 Basic services 2.1 Caller ID What is the name f the value added service feature? Caller ID What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Caller ID allws yur phne number t be sent when yu make phne calls and receive a phne number when called frm a service which has the facility t send CLI. Yur phne number will be sent with each call yu make using the Jeenee Mbile Service unless yu blck the facility. Hw d yu activate the value added service feature? Caller ID is defaulted t n fr all users. If yu have elected t switch Caller ID ff, then yu can activate Caller ID n a call-by-call basis by dialling the prefix 1832 befre the phne number yu are calling. Yu can als cntact the Jeenee Help Centre t have Caller ID reactivated fr all utging calls. Hw d yu de-activate the value added service feature? Yu can de-activate Caller ID n a call-by-call basis by dialling the prefix 1831 befre the phne number yu are calling. Yu can als cntact the Jeenee Help Centre t have Caller ID de-activated fr all utging calls. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? Yur phne number may nt be displayed n the mbile phne f the persn yu are calling, even if yu have Caller ID activated, if the mbile phne f the persn yu are calling des nt have the ability t display yur phne number. We will nt charge yu fr Caller ID. 2.2 Call Waiting What is the name f the value added service feature? Call Waiting What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Call Waiting enables yu t receive tw calls t the same mbile phne simultaneusly. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? While n a call yu will hear a series f tnes indicating a secnd call is waiting. Yu may then put the first call n hld and receive the secnd call. Hw d yu activate the value added service feature? Many mbile phnes allw yu t activate Call Waiting directly frm the mbile phne. Yu can als cntact the Jeenee Help Centre t have Call Waiting activated. Hw d yu de-activate the value added service feature? Fr mbile phnes that supprt Call Waiting, Call Waiting can be de-activated frm the mbile phne. Alternatively, yu can cntact the Jeenee Help Centre. We will nt charge yu fr the use f Call Waiting. 2.3 Grup Call What is the name f the value added service feature? Grup Call What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Grup Call enables yu t initiate a cnference call with up t 5 peple. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? T make a Grup Call yu will need t: 1. Make r receive a call 2. Place the first call n hld 3. Make anther call 4. T jin the calls, either press 3 n yur mbile phne r refer t yur mbile phne user guide fr further instructins. 5. The persn initiating the cnference call must be present thrugh the duratin f the call, if they hang up, the cnference call will end. Hw d yu activate the value added service feature? If yu d nt wish t have this service cntact the Jeenee Help Centre t have Call Waiting deactivated. This will prevent GrupCall frm being used. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? Nt all mbile phnes supprt Grup Call, please refer t yur mbile phne user guide. There is n Subscriptin f Access fee fr Grup Call. We will nt charge yu fr the use f Grup Call. Hwever, standard call charges will apply fr calls yu make t services that will be part f the Grup Call. 2.4 Optus 124YES ( ) What is the name f the value added service feature? Optus 124YES What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Optus 124YES allws yu t cntact an peratr t request a phne number r be transferred t that phne number. As f 8th May 2012, yu will be able t access Optus 124YES by sending an SMS t Hw des the value added service feature wrk? 1. Simply dial (that is, 124 fllwed by the numbers that spell YES n the keypad f yur mbile phne) frm yur mbile phne and yu will be cnnected t an peratr. Yu can then request the peratr cnnect yu t mst publicly listed telephne numbers in Australia. In additin, Optus 124YES allws yu t request that the name and phne number f the persn whse number yu have requested be sent t yur mbile phne as a SMS (if yur mbile phne is capable f receiving the infrmatin). SMS Usage Alerts What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? The SMS Usage Alert service is a free tl prvided by Jeenee Mbile t yu shuld yu be n an eligible plan. This service is prvided t assist yu in mnitring yur mbile usage. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? The SMS Usage Alerts that yu may receive if yu are n an eligible Jeenee Mbile Plan: included value SMS Usage Alerts an SMS will be sent t yu when yu exceed certain usage values f the included value within yur Jeenee Mbile Plan. Hw d yu activate the value added service feature? Yu will autmatically be registered fr SMS Usage Alerts shuld yur Jeenee Mbile Plan be cmpatible with this service. Yu will receive a Welcme Message when the SMS Usage Alert service is activated fr yur Jeenee Mbile Plan. Hw d yu de-activate the value added service feature? If yu d nt wish t cntinue t have the SMS Usage Alert service, yu can deactivate the service by accessing My Jeenee Mbile at jeenee.rg.au/myjeeneembile. Yu can als cntact the Jeenee Help Centre and request that the SMS Usage Alert service is deactivated fr yur accunt. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? SMS Usage Alerts are sent between the hurs f 7.00am t 10.00pm (AEST). Shuld yu exceed certain usage values f yur included value between the hurs f 10.00pm 7.00am (AEST) yu will nt receive an SMS Usage Alert until the active service perid f 7.00am 10.00pm (AEST). SMS Usage Alerts are nt generated in real-time and delays may be experienced at times due t system limitatins. When yu are travelling verseas yu will still receive the SMS Usage Alerts, hwever a lnger than nrmal delay may be experienced in receiving the SMS Usage Alert. 5 3 Messaging services 3.1 SMS What is the name f the value added service feature? SMS What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? SMS enables yu t send a SMS text message (f up t 160 characters per message) t ther mbile phnes either directly frm yur mbile phne r when yur mbile phne is cnnected t a persnal cmputer. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? SMS messages can be sent and received by custmers within Australia n ur GSM netwrk and ther participating netwrks and, in sme circumstances, by mbile phnes raming verseas. SMS messages can als be sent and received by custmers cnnected t the GSM netwrk f an verseas mbile carrier, prvided that the verseas netwrk has an internatinal SMS agreement with us. Hw d yu activate the value added service feature? All new mbile phnes are autmatically activated t access SMS. Hw d yu de-activate the value added service feature? If yu wish t de-activate SMS, yu will need t cntact the Jeenee Help Centre. D yu need specific equipment t use the value added service feature? T be able t use SMS, yur mbile phne must be able t send and receive SMS messages. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? T be able t use SMS, yur phne must be within cverage f ur netwrk. Fr a SMS recipient t receive a SMS message their mbile phne must be SMS cmpatible and they must be within the cverage f the netwrk f their service prvider. If the message f is nt able t be sent initially, fr example, if the mbile phne f the persn t whm the SMS message is being sent is turned ff, r ut f cverage, the SMS message will be resent fr up t seven (7) days (after which it will be deleted) until the message is received. The message is stred fr seven (7) days befre it is deleted. There may be a delay between when a SMS message is sent and when it is received. Any special liability issues? 6 3.2 MMS What is the name f the value added service feature? MMS (als knwn pht messaging) What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? MMS prvides yu with the ability t send messages which are a cmbinatin f text, phts, animatins, vide r sund. Hw d yu activate the value added service feature? T activate MMS, yu must cntact the Jeenee Help Centre t request that GPRS and Optus MMS be activated n yur mbile phne and yur phne number will be recrded n the Optus MMS Prfile Server. If yu attempt t use Optus MMS withut fllwing the abve activatin prcess, yu may be charged fr Optus MMS messages whether the message is successfully delivered r nt. What features are available with value added service feature? D yu need specific equipment t use the value added service feature? T be able t use MMS, yur mbile phne must be MMS cmpatible with Optus MMS settings. Nt all MMS cmpatible mbile phnes supprt all features f Optus MMS. If yur mbile phne and service is prvisined fr WAP CSD r WAP GPRS, yu can: send Optus MMS messages frm yur mbile phne using WAP CSD r WAP GPRS. The frm f cntent that yu can send is limited t text and phts. The ability t preview phts depends n mbile phne functinality. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? MMS messages can be sent t MMS cmpatible mbile phnes: which have activated SMS, which are cnnected t ther mbile netwrks in Australia, where there is an intercnnectin arrangement in place that allws cmmunicatin in MMS frmat, and f custmers f ur participating service prviders. The recipient will need t have an MMS cmpatible mbile phne and service t receive this message. If they d nt have an MMS cmpatible handset, they will be unable t receive MMS. If the recipient is cnnected t an verseas netwrk there will need t be an internatinal MMS agreement with us that enables receipt f the message. Fr a MMS recipient t receive a MMS message they must be within the cverage f the netwrk f their service prvider. If the message f is nt able t be sent initially, fr example, if the mbile phne f the persn t whm the SMS message is being sent is turned ff, r ut f cverage, the SMS message will be resent fr up t seven (7) days (after which it will be deleted) until the message is received. 7 The usage charges fr MMS are nt included in the included calls cmpnent f yur pricing plan, r any discunted call ffers, unless usage charges fr SMS r MMS are stated t be included in these cmpnents. If yu use WAP CSD r WAP GPRS t send r view yur MMS messages, we will charge yu fr the WAP usage accrding t the terms f yur data pricing plan. Inbund SMS What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Inbund SMS enables yu t send a SMS text message (f up t 160 characters per message) t 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers belnging t a third party directly frm yur mbile phne. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? Inbund SMS is nly available fr custmers in Australia. A SMS can be sent t entities in Australia that have 13,1300 r 1800 numbers enabled t accept SMS as well as vice services with the same carrier. D yu need specific equipment t use the value added service feature? T be able t use Inbund SMS, yur mbile phne must be able t send and receive SMS messages. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? T be able t use Inbund SMS, yur mbile phne must be within cverage f ur netwrk. While we will use due care and skill t deliver the SMS message t 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers fr yu, the Inbund SMS service may be subject t unexpected faults and may be delayed r may nt be received. Hwever, we will nt be able t deliver any SMS message which yu send t an uncnnected r nn-sms enabled number. Yu may nt knw if the recipient has received the SMS message. If the SMS message is nt able t be sent initially, fr example, if the mbile phne f the persn t whm the SMS message is being sent is turned ff, r ut f cverage, the SMS message will be resent fr up t seven (7) days (after which it will be deleted) until the message is received r the 7 day perid has elapsed. There may be a delay between when the SMS message is sent and when it is received. Accrdingly, as delivery f the SMS message may be delayed r may nt be received Inbund SMS is nt suitable fr emergencies, critical matters r where time is f the essence (fr example, requesting an emergency rganisatin t cme t smene s aid). Therefre, yu are respnsible fr deciding whether Inbund SMS is the apprpriate service fr yu t deliver yur message, particularly where the recipient needs t receive the message within a particular time frame. 8 Any special liability issues? We will prvide yu with the Inbund SMS service. Where yu use the Inbund SMS service fr the purpse f eliciting a reply frm the third party wner f the 13, 1300 r 1800 number (either by SMS, , MMS, vice call r pstal mail), the reply t yu is the respnsibility f that third party and is separate frm, and is nt included as part f, the Inbund SMS service. We are nt respnsible fr and d nt warrant the perfrmance, interperability, stability and/r accuracy f any such reply frm that third party. Furthermre, receipt f the cntent may be delayed, r the cntent may nt be secure, r may nt be received. D any plicies apply t the use f this value added service feature? Jeenee Mbile Fair Use Plicy If yu are a Pst-Paid custmer, we will charge yu standard SMS rates f yur mbile plan as per the Jeenee Mbile Service Standard Pricing Table per SMS text message sent (f up t 160 characters) per recipient t any 13, 1300, r 1800 number. We will charge yu these charges regardless f whether the SMS message is successfully delivered r nt. It may take up t eight (8) days frm the date n which yu send the SMS fr the message charges t be applied t yur accunt. 3.4 Facebk SMS Alerts Service What is the name f the value added service feature? Facebk SMS Alerts What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Frm 23 February 2010 yu will be able t receive Facebk SMS Alerts n yur mbile phne frm yur Facebk prfile. Yu can als reply t certain Facebk SMS alerts using SMS and yu can als access the Facebk Mbile site by clicking the link in the SMS alert. D yu need specific equipment t use the value added service feature? T be able t use Facebk SMS Alerts, yur mbile phne must be able t send and receive SMS messages. Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? T be able t use Facebk SMS Alerts, yur mbile phne must be within cverage f ur netwrk and yu must have an existing Facebk accunt. While we will use due care and skill t deliver the SMS messages fr yu, the Facebk SMS Alerts service may be subject t unexpected faults and may be delayed r may nt be received. Hwever, this is a Facebk service therefre we are nt respnsible fr and d nt warrant the perfrmance, interperability, stability and/r accuracy f any such reply frm that third party. If yu are a Pst-Paid custmer: There is n charge t receive a Facebk SMS Alert If yu reply t the Facebk SMS Alert we will charge yu standard SMS rates f yur mbile plan as per the Optus Digital Mbile Service Standard Pricing Table per SMS text message sent (up t 160 characters) If yu access the Facebk Mbile site via a link in the Facebk SMS Alert message, we will charge yu standard data rates f yur mbile plan. If yu reply t a Facebk SMS Alert we will charge yu regardless f whether the SMS is successfully delivered r nt. 4 Vic services 4.1 Vic What is the name f the value added service feature? Vic What is the value added service feature and what is it used fr? Vic is autmatically set up fr yu when yu activate yur Jeenee mbile service and prvides functinality similar t an answering machine n ur netwrk. It allws peple wh call yu t leave a vice message fr yu if yu d nt answer yur mbile phne. With Vic yu can als set up 20 different persnal distributin grup lists, with a maximum f 200 members per list. Messages can then be frwarded t a distributin list and all members f the list will be sent the message. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? Fr Vic t wrk, yu must set up and maintain diversins t yur Vic bx. The fllwing ptins exist when diverting a service t Vic cnditinal diversins based n: call nt answered, number busy, number nt cntactable (eg. ut f range r turned ff), r uncnditinal diversin f all calls. When a persn calls and their call is diverted t yur Vic bx they can leave a message. Yu can then call in t listen t that message at a cnvenient time. Yu can als recrd a persnalised greeting up t tw (2) minutes lng. If yu have nt used yur Vic bx fr a perid f 90 days r lnger, it may be deleted. If yu subsequently wish t use yur Vic again yu can simply call the Jeenee Help Centre t re-activate the service. Hw d yu activate/reactivate the value added service feature? Yu need t cntact the Jeenee Help Centre t re-activate Optus Vic , if yur Vic bx has been deleted as yu have nt used yur Vic bx fr a perid f 90 days r lnger. A Vic bx will be reserved n the Vic system and yu will receive a welcme call shrtly thereafter which will infrm yu f the features f yur new Vic and als give yu the ptin f a user tutrial t persnalise yur Vic . Hw d yu de-activate the value added service feature? Yu can de-activate Vic by remving the diversins t Vic . The bx will still be reserved n the Vic system but n calls will be diverted t it. 10 Please nte that if yur Vic bx remains inactive fr a perid f 90 days r lnger, it may be deleted and yu will have t call the Jeenee Help Centre t re-activate Vic . Fr remval f Vic cmpletely, please cntact the Jeenee Help Centre. What features are available with value added service feature? Multiple Greetings allws yu t select a single (persnal) greeting t be played t all callers diverted t yur Vic at all times r yu can chse t have separate Business hurs and After hurs greetings. Yur business hurs greeting will be played t callers reaching yur mailbx between the hurs f 8am and 6pm Mnday t Friday. Yur After hurs greeting will be played at all ther times. Wake Up/Reminder Call - allws yu t request the Vic bx t ring a specified number at a specified date and time. The Wake Up/Reminder Call received will be a recrded vice annuncement indicating the date and time. Wake Up/Reminder Calls can be sent t mst Australian PSTN r Australian mbile numbers within Australia (exceptins include phne numbers with the prefixes 13 and 19 and emergency services numbers). Yu may nly have tw (2) utstanding Wake Up/Reminder Call requests at any ne time. These tw (2) requests must be t the same phne number. Each request may be fr a recurring Wake Up/Reminder Call r a nce ff call. Vic Call Return allws yu t return a call withut exiting the Vic bx. This feature is nt available if yu are using the MbileSat service. Vic Call Return is nly available when yu access yur Vic bx frm yur mbile phne. This feature is based n the ability f the Vic bx t capture the caller s telephne number, t recrd a number entered by the caller and t allw yu t enter a telephne number t return the call. The caller s telephne number will nt always be captured by the Vic bx including when: the caller s line has a temprary (call by call basis) r permanent (including a silent line r when the third party prviding the caller s service des nt prvide the CLI facility) blck n sending CLI, the call was an internatinal call, the call was frm a payphne, r the number was verridden by a number entered by the caller. Sme numbers, including internatinal numbers, phne numbers with the prefixes 13 and 19 and emergency services numbers, when entered by the caller r yu, will nt be accepted as call return numbers. When the Vic Call Return call is cmpleted, yu are still cnnected t the Vic bx and s can cntinue t access remaining Vic messages. Vic Call Recall sends a shrt text message including the caller s phne number t yur mbile phne (sme lder style mbile phnes may nt supprt this feature) indicating smene called but did nt leave a message. The caller s number will be placed as the sender f the text message allwing yu t reply directly t them r return a call with a single key press. If the caller number is listed in yur phne s cntacts then the caller name as it appears in yur cntacts will be shwn as the sender f the text message. A Vic Call Recall message will nly be sent t yur mbile phne when: the caller was diverted t Vic , the caller s number was captured via CLI, and the caller hangs up withut recrding a message (that is, befre r within 1.5 secnds f the recrding tne). 11 Are there any limitatins r restrictins n using the value added service feature? The Vic bx can stre up t 40 messages f up t three (3) minutes per message. The messages will be stred fr a maximum f ten (10) days if yu have heard the message, r twenty eight (28) if yu have nt heard the message. When a caller leaves a message in yur Vic , ur netwrk will attempt t send a message waiting indicatr t yur mbile phne (sme lder mbile phnes may nt supprt this indicatr). If yur phne is nt within cverage r is turned ff, ur netwrk will cntinue t send the message waiting indicatr until the message waiting indicatr is received by the mbile phne fr a perid f up t seven (7) days. We will charge yu fr calls yu make t and frm yur Vic bx as fllws: t depsit a vic message: Within Australia: 5.5c per thirty secnds, the fllwing charges t retrieve r therwise prcess a message: peak charge f $0.165 thirty secnds, ff-peak charge f $0.11 per thirty secnds, Frm 27 March 2007, we will charge yu fr calls yu make t and frm yur Vic bx as fllws: $0.90 per minute n charge fr vic depsit t retrieve r therwise prcess a message we will charge yu: Vic Call Return calls: the Vic airtime charge abve PLUS ur standard charge fr the type f call made using Vic Call Return. Missed Call Service ntifies yu f yur missed calls and any messages left fr yu via an SMS message when yu d nt have Optus Vic diversins set n yur mbile phne. Hw des the value added service feature wrk? Missed Call Service allws a caller wh can t reach yu t leave a message f up t 10 secnds in length which is then cnverted int text and sent via an SMS message. This will ccur when yu d nt have diversins set n yur mbile phne if yu: are ut f cverage, have yur mbile phne turned ff, are busy n anther call, d nt wish t receive a call (frced busy), r d nt answer yur mbile phne. Missed Call Service then sends yu an SMS cntaining the cnverted message nce yu cme back int cverage, turn n yur mbile phne r have finished taking yur call. Cnverted SMS messages will appear t have cme frm the persn that called yu, either displaying their name in yur cntacts list, r, if they are nt n yur cntacts list, their phne number will be displayed. The Missed Call Service has the capacity t stre up t 25 different callers numbers at any time. We d nt guarantee that all messages will be cnverted crrectly. If parts f a message cannt be cnverted they will be marked r mitted. In sme instances, a third party agent might assist in the translatin f individual wrds r small prtins f the spken message. In these circumstances, the third party agent will nly have access t the cntent f the vice message and will nt have access t the phne number r name f the caller r recipient. If a message cannt be cnverted at all, a ntificatin SMS will be sent t yur handset via SMS stating that a message culd nt be cnverted. This can happen due t a spken message nt being in English, r because f pr dictin, pr cnnectin, cntext r backgrund nise. T receive the Missed Call Service SMS message yu must be within the cverage f the Jeenee mbile digital netwrk t receive the SMS message n the screen f yur phne. If yur phne it turned ff, r ut f cverage, the SMS message will be resent fr up t 7 days (after which it will be deleted) until the message is received. The message is stred n the netwrk fr 7 days befre it is deleted. A number is deemed t be stred if the SMS message cntaining the cnverted test f that caller s vic has nt been clicked as read by yu n yur mbile device.
