Consolidation of standard grammar for intermediate oral and written expression and understanding. On-going study of phonological and morphological structures for better pronunciation and comprehension. Business vocabulary. History and development of multinationals and major industries as well as the corresponding marketing practices. Publicity and advertising from and for the English-speaking world. Application of primary marketing, advertising and distribution concepts in English positioning, the SWOT analysis, the Ps of marketing, AIDA, the USP, media and other communication, price to service quotient in the eyes of the client, the Customer Mapping Process, including CRM and CMR, globalization, packaging and image, linguistic codes in brands. Analysis and elaboration of market studies. Specific marketing case studies. Corporate culture in Englishspeaking countries. Major marketing sites and blogs online. gurus. International marketing awards. Relevant international conferences and professional marketing associations. More on employment, finding a job and improved use of the Europass CV. Personal and social expression: opinion and (dis)agreement; persuading, convincing, suggesting, attracting and advising a client; expressing desire, hope, cause, ends, and condition; cause, hypothesis, probability, and possibility. Business correspondence and internal notices. Basic conversation and telemarketing skills. Lecture and reflect on theoretical application.
