2 Houston Zoo 2013 Annual Report The goal of this annual report is to inspire others to join the Houston Zoo s many conservation projects for animal and conserving the natural world. Watercolor paintings help to emphasis conservation projects and communicate the Zoo s effort to find balance between humans and animal life.

3 Bonny s Market Bonny s look and feel reflects the traditional mom and pop store. Fictional character is Bonny who loves to swap and share her recipes with community. Her priority is organic fresh produce from local market.

4 Endangered Species Data Visualizations Human beings are currently causing the greatest mass extinction of species. If present trends continue one half of all species of life on earth will be extinct in less than 100 years, as a result of habitat destruction, invasive species, and climate change. Through visually engaging and comprehend data sets, the viewer can understand why and how numbers of species are endangered. The first poster Show through a different graph and chart break down the cause of loss species and compare loss mammals in the world to united stats. The second poster just concentrated on one large mammal that needs great demands of the environment.

5 Notts A website for Notts, a toy for elderly people suffering from dementia and the early stages of Alzheimer s disease. The website s basic design makes navigation easy for users who want to order the toy and connect to the Alzheimer s association, alz.org.

6 Cirro Energy The Cirro re-branding concept focuses on reliability, honesty and friendly. The Cirro s logo form inspired by cirrus cloud and the rounded shape type express the Honesty of the company further more the worm and friendly color.

7 Achaemenid Empire Architecture This exhibition wall illustrates images of Persepolis, the magnificent capital of the great Persian Empire and one of the most spectacular sites in the ancient world. Accompanying text provides information on the different palaces located within this once powerful city.

8 Hol(e)y City Hol(e)y City is a map that compares the annual expense of pot hole repairs for Houston streets to the annual budgets of a local church. The map critiques both religious and political rhetoric by employing biblical language to characterize the condition of damaged roadways and to express messages of salvation by

9 Modernism This educational folder accompanies a poster and, a set of cards. The poster talks about modernism and its effects on the Graphic Design Industry. The set of cards introduces influential modernist artists.

10 Bad Shop Product (Ease) Ease is a trivet on wheels, The wheels allow the trivet to guide across any flat surface in order to easily transport heavy dishes on dinner table also to protect tables from heat and water damage.

11 Written Wor(1)d: Fahrenheit 451 Written Wor(1)ds is a collaborative project between the University of Houston s Creative Writing and the School of Art, Graphic Design. Students are creating these pieces exhibited at Third Space, UH School of Art. Fahrenheit 451 is a novel by Ray Bradbury published in The novel presents a future American society where books are outlawed and firemen burn any that are found.

12 Dada Maze Game Dada was a movement that gets separated from nationalism and rationalism. This Dada maze game piece inviting the viewer to play and picture the Hugo Ball Quote, Words emerge, shoulders of words, legs, arms hands of words. Au, oi, uh, One shouldn t let too many words out. A line of poetry is a chance to get rid of all the filth that clings to this accursed language, as if put there by stock brokers hands, hands worn smooth by coins.

13 Field Guide - Water Wonderland App Water Wonderland awpp is an interactive app that serves as a field guide, kids can have fun and learn about water. The app provided the groundwater news and recent water news and a great learning tool. Do you know how much water did you use for your bath? Or how much water you need to brush your tooth? Take quiz at Wonderland water then you will know.

14 MFA Thesis Exhibition This is an identity for the University of Houston s Master of Fine Art Thesis Exhibition. The system includes a poster, banner, catalogue, postcard and exhibition wall.
