The term Immunizatin Infrmatin System r IIS may be replaced with Registry within psitin titles in sme jurisdictins. Summary IIS Data Extract Analyst is a rle typically fund in an experienced, advanced analyst series. It may als reside in an Infrmatin Technlgy series. It ften serves as a bridge between the technical and the prgrammatic teams within an IIS, and may crdinate clsely with the IIS vendr/implementer. The psitin typically encmpasses bth peratinal and plicy respnsibilities related t data and data use. Scpe The persn fulfilling this rle is respnsible fr extracting, analyzing, and/r presenting the IIS data in respnse t rutine, ad hc queries and/r special studies. The persn in this rle develps, implements, maintains and updates data access and data use prtcls fr the IIS, and versees the data use agreements prcess and dcuments. This rle is als respnsible fr meeting designated reprting needs mandated by specific grant, funding and administrative requirements, including Preventin and Public Health Fund grants, Sentinel Grants, the annual Immunizatin Prgram Base Grant, and ther reprting requirements as designated. 2 Research Analyst Data Analytics Specialist Relatinship The persn in this rle typically reprts t the IIS Manager. Internally, this rle wrks very clsely with the rest f the IIS team, as well as the research and surveillance team. The persn in this psitin is als respnsive t administrative and executive requests fr data analytics. Externally, this rle wrks clsely with end users in respnding t rutine and ad hc requests, as well as special studies. Decisin Making Authrity This rle exercises cnsiderable independent judgment in carrying ut respnsibilities within a highly cllabrative envirnment. Decisin making generally requires substantial negtiatin and cmprmise with a variety f cnsideratins, including the cntext impsed by applicable laws, statutes, rules, interests f stakehlders, available data, and resurces. Data Extractin/Analysis: Crdinate and mnitr the methds and quality f IIS data extracts. Write and dcument prgrams and cde t query IIS t extract data fr analyses. Cnstruct data sets, analyze data, and generate graphs, charts, and statistics t arrive at cnclusins abut the data. Cnduct and lead rutine and ad hc data quality meetings and ther standing cmmittees as assigned, pssibly in crdinatin with the Data Quality Analyst. Plan and manage cmplex analytical prjects. Evaluate frms and recrd system/applicatin screens t ensure cmpliance with prgram intent and regulatins. Crdinate cmmunicatin with key prject team members within Public Health.
