5 Cisco Nexus 1110 Series Cloud Services Platfm The Cisco Nexus 1100 Series Cloud Services Platfm (CSP) offers dedicated hardware appliances f the deployment of netwk services critical to virtualized data center infrastructure (Figure 2 and Table 2). The appliances host a number of virtual service blades (VSBs), including the following: the Cisco Nexus 1000V Virtual Supervis Module (VSM), which acts as the control plane (VMware vsphere and Microsoft Hyper-V deployments), the Cisco Virtual Security Gateway (VSG) to firewall east-west traffic (VMware vsphere and Microsoft Hyper-V deployments), the Cisco Prime Netwk Analysis Module (NAM) f in-depth analytics, the Citrix NetScaler 1000V Application Delivery Controller (ADC), and the VXLAN-to-VLAN gateway f a mixed physical and virtual environment. These VSBs provide a comprehensive solution f virtual netwking services in the data center. Dedicated hardware f the Cisco Nexus 1000V VSM eases virtual access switch deployment f the netwk administrat, and with its suppt f additional VSBs, Cisco Nexus 1100 Series CSP provides crucial components of a virtualized data center. 6 Cisco Cloud Netwking Services The following services are available f the Cisco Nexus 1100 Series Cloud Services Platfm. Citrix NetScaler 1000V Citrix NetScaler 1000V is an application delivery controller solution and part of the Cisco Cloud Netwk Services architecture (Figure 3 and Tables 3 and 4). It gives applications critical perfmance enhancements, including offloading application servers, helping guarantee quality of service (QoS) and improving end-user experiences. This easy-to-deploy application delivery solution can be integrated with the overall Cisco Nexus 1000V cloud netwking ptfolio and run on multiple hypervis platfms. In this way, it can be deployed on demand, anywhere in the data center, using the Cisco Nexus 1100 Cloud Services Platfm off-the-shelf servers. The simplicity and flexibility of Citrix NetScaler 1000V make it cost effective to fully optimize every web application and me effectively integrate netwking services with application delivery. It provides multitenant edge security, default gateway functions, and protection against netwk-based attacks. Cisco Virtual Wide Area Application Services Cisco Virtual WAAS (vwaas) is the first cloud-ready WAN optimization solution that accelerates applications delivered from private and virtual private cloud infrastructure, using policy-based on-demand chestration. Cisco vwaas can be integrated with Cisco Nexus 1000V, which optimizes application delivery in a virtual machine environment through Cisco vpath architecture services. Cisco Prime Netwk Analysis Module Cisco Prime NAM f Cisco Nexus 1100 Series delivers traffic and perfmance analytics that empower netwk administrats to me rapidly detect and resolve perfmance issues and improve the use of netwk resources in the virtual machine netwk. Integrated with Cisco Nexus 1100 Series and Cisco Nexus 1010 Virtual Services Appliances, Cisco Prime NAM offers a smaller netwk footprint, ease of deployment, and reduced administration cost. 8 Cisco Nexus 1000V InterCloud Cisco Nexus 1000V InterCloud provides the architectural foundation f secure hybrid clouds, allowing enterprises to easily and securely connect the enterprise data center to the public cloud (Table 5).
