Here, you will be able to various derivatives of the keywords you type in, the number of searches each keyword gets and the amount of competition. Make a list of the keywords and then make sure that they are buying words. That is, ones that people are typing in because they need your service or product. The best ones will be those that have relatively high search volume and low to moderate competition. As a result of this research you now have a targeted list of keywords that you can use to generate leads and sales for your business. No more hit and miss marketing. 4 Stage 2 - Website Optimisation (On Site Optimisation) To enable your site to be easily readable by the search engines, you must have each page set up in a certain way. This means that Google and the other search engines can see that each page on your site has all of the correct information on it, in a certain order and with the related keywords clearly positioned in specific places. This process is called on page optimisation. You should not optimise for any more that 1-2 keywords as you don t want to confuse the search engines. If you do then you will have real problems getting the website listed highly when you start the external linking. Each page on your website should have the keyword in the following places: Title Tag Meta Description Meta Keywords Within an <H1> tag Included a number of times in the text on the web page Within an internal link If you are not sure about this, we can get it done for you, or your web designer will be able to do it. Stage 3 Linking Service This is the strategy that is going to get your website ranking highly in the search engines. Basically, this process enables you to get a number of one way links to your website, for the keywords that you have optimised the website for. The links should come from a number of places and all linking must appear natural. In other words, the search engines would more than likely penalise you if you sent a few thousand links to your website in a few days. You really want to have good quality links coming to your site from a variety of sources, so that everything seems natural. Here are a range of places to be linking from: Blogs Other websites Press releases Forums Web 2.0 sites Video marketing Articles These linking strategies will give you the best results.

5 Stage 4 - Data Analysis and Website Reporting t: e: w: A successful SEO campaign must include constant website reporting. As mentioned in stage 1, online marketing enables you to formulate targeted campaigns toward your customers. Consequently, you are now also able to collect valuable data that will give you a very clear picture of how effective your marketing is. You will be able to measure your results and make the necessary adjustments to improve your traffic and sales. For example, you will be able to choose more keywords to target, giving you a broader coverage online and this will give you even more traffic that you can convert into sales. You can add offers to each page and track the number of people who take them up. A must have tool for your website is called Google Analytics and this will give you all of the data that you need to track your traffic. By monitoring the pages most visited, you can put a strategy in place to increase the conversion rate. This can give you a huge return because a simple increase from 1% to 2% will double your profitability without increasing your traffic. Keywords Customers Use To find You By analysing the keywords that your customers type in to find you, you can build targeted pages to increase traffic to your site.
