4 PopUpDesignGallery Who - PopUpDesignGallery is an interactive metropolitan street front window designed to create a temporary home for the evolution of expressive languages in contemporary design. From fashion to interior design, graphics and art, the multi functional pop up space, designed on two different levels and completely renovated by the Milanese interior designer Luca Mercatelli, represents a true temporary service. The gallery is a fantastic location for communication and sale, so special and unique in the heart of Milan s historic center - the Brera District. What - retail in motion for the new generation, POP is a location perfect for new Avant guard brands, artists, designers, artisans, stylists, graphic designers and all international creative people that choose to communicate their product for a short or medium period. When - inaugurated during the past edition of the Milan Furniture Fair 2013 hosting the internationally renowned lighting designer Davide Groppi PopUpDesignGallery redesigns itself in real time interacting with important events in the Milanese and international calendar. During Pop s first three months of life the space has already hosted a guest list of extreme quality, yet very different in the themes on show: well known brands, as too artisans, designers, and fashion producers. Where - downtown Milano, via Pontaccio 2: in the heart of the Brera District, the neuralgic heart of Milan s design precinct. Why - gallery in the truly New York idea of the term, pop up as an entrepreneurial key to the street front location, design for all who make or would like to make this their expressive communication language.

10 Davide Groppi opens at the PopUpDesignGallery Today inaugurates in Milan the new PopUpDesignGallery, in the heart of the Brera Design District during the opening days of the Milan furniture fair, The gallery will host for two weeks the world renowned lighting brand DAVIDE GROPPI. An exceptional first guest, Davide Groppi decided to present at the fantastic temporary space PopUpDesignGallery, his new collection of lights during the Euroluce 2013 annex at the Milan furniture fair, the space in via Pontaccio 2 is a market and business observation and test place. retail in motion of the new generation. PopUpDesignGallery is able to provide it s guests maximum visibility and flexibility in space and project. These days see pop in a fun yet very suggestive presentation of DAVIDE GROPPI communicating creative excellence to the world, in Milan during the furniture fair.

Milan, 29h May screams Fuck the Fakes! ; PopUpDesignGallery lifts the curtain on Italian Food Concept, a team of professionals guided by Benta Wiley Architects Studio that creates restaurant formats which are 100% Italian through a tailor made service which stretches from the complete architectural and interiors project to studying and developing the brand and coordinating the image. Together with TASTE, international demonstration of food and catering, now in its fourth edition in Milan with its headquarters in Superstudio Più in via Tortona, the I/F/C team, united in the desire to go abroad and show the world real authentic italian know how, presents their own brand at PopUpDesignGallery through the launch of their internet site in a three day event from the 29th to 31st May the inaugural cocktail taking place on Wednesday 29th May The final objective lies in talking and discussing with entrepreneurs and others about the proposal that Italian Food Concept focuses on concerning an Italy considered to be one of the countries most at risk of losing its competitive hold on the market due to the growth of fakes. 36 esterni PopUpDesignGallery esterni design occupies and transforms PopUpDesignGallery in an interactive urban space, presenting its furniture through a virtual voyage to the centre of the Milanese Design District. Wednesday 19th June, from 6 to 10 pm esterni design presents: Gaming Tables - Les Jeux ne sont pas fait, an appointment+performances that is aimed directly at the city, its supporters and friends, as well as those entrepreneurs sensitive to quality outdoor design. Modular, swivelling gaming tables that are screen printed on both sides and made for the Salone del Mobile 2013 in collaboration with Zetalab - visual comunication studio responible for the graphics; Legno - the printing studio that carried out the screenprinting; and Panguaneta - the top italian company for the production of semi finished pieces in poplar. They all come together in PopUpDesignGallery transforming it for an evening into the ideal stage for a live screenprinting performance, an interactive act by Studio Legno who will screenprint the graphics of the gaming tables directly onto canvas and then play the games through series of three minute tournaments which will test games from checkers to backgammon, from snakes and ladders and chess to the wonderful fantasy games proposed directly by esterni design. video on https://www.facebook.com/popupdesigngallery

And so once again the ever changing identity of the space in Via Pontaccio 2 confronts itself through a new, innovative set based on the sacred dimension of creativity in the fashion key. Man Fashion Week, which takes over Milan from 22nd to 25th of June 2013 determines the occasion on which the interlocutor Silvia Giorgetti, demiurgic creator of unique handcrafted artifacts that are concerned with research into painted and personalized precious weaves, presents and exhibits her transformist travel jackets at PopUpDesignGallery. -Fabrics to Wear-, hung like paintings or suspended in space on rigorously handmade hangers Silvia Giorgetti s transformist jackets come from the idea of a craftmans skill that reworks textiles in a manner different from its original use. Style is as unique as is size, ways of use are many and always dynamic, just like the fabrics whose characteristics derive from the integration of shape, function, decoration and colour. 62 13th July ITS JURY PRIZE 2013 Milan at Trieste. ITS International Talent Support based in Trieste is the platform for young talent, created and developed by EVE and presented by OTB, in collaboration with their main partners DIESEL, YKK and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. The most anticipated appointment for creatives and experts in the sector for more that a decade, it now turns its attention to PopUpDesignGallery, transforming it into a strategic pop up window in the capital of the Italian Fashion World. Stressing yet again its identity as a leading voice for events, projects and urban concept brands, and attentive to the evolution of the expressive languages of the contemporary designer, PopUpDesign- Gallery opens its doors to ITS offering the winner of the Jury Prize 2013 the chance to present in complete autonomy their own work for one week in an exhibition in the space at Via Pontaccio 2 at the heart of the Brera District. And so, just as the magical setting of Trieste is transformed each year by ITS in a spotlight on global visibility where students in the last year of the school of fashion design and young designers have the opportunity to show their own creativity to the prestigious international juries, PopUpDesignGallery transforms a corner of Milan in ITS outpost in its strongest and most authentic expressive key: The work of its best artist presented in a setting with high emotional impact intended for the critics and public of this Italian fashion city par excellence. It represents a comparison with the most interesting of the avantguard of the moment; a journey into unexplored terrain that will be revealed only on Saturday 13th June when the ITS 2013 Prize is awarded. It represents a declared, high level recognition of the value of the ITS project, linked to the most authentic mission of PopUpDesignGallery who, more than anyone, promotes and launches those who are always in the front row.
