1 News You Can Use The deadline for students to withdraw from class is Monday, November 25, 2013! VIP Registration Deadline: November 26. Meet with your advisor, schedule your Spring 2014 classes and save $25! Class Scheduler is now live and in Pathway!!! You can find the link on the Student tab in the registration tools box. Use this new system to help you see all the schedule options available to you for Spring 2014 classes at PTC. The Passport to Success Newsletter is an academic resource guide to inform students about workshops, open centers and drop in labs for many general education courses. The newsletter will be updated each semester to reflect changes. The Passport to Success Newsletter can be found on the website under College Resources and Testing, Tutoring and Counseling tab, and can also be found in Pathway under the Student tab and on the homepage of D2L. PARKING STICKERS & PHOTO IDs ARE MANDATORY: Picture ID s are made on the Greenwood, Newberry, and Laurens campuses. Please get one. Parking decals are given at the Greenwood Campus library and at each PTC county campus. Both will be expected to be displayed properly. Students are to park appropriately in designated parking areas. Violators will be issued traffic citations. For assistance or for questions, contact Public Safety at Graduation Tickets Candidates for graduation who indicated they would attend graduation can pick up tickets for their guests beginning November 20 th at 8am. Graduates are limited to a maximum of 5 tickets. If available, an additional 3 tickets per graduate will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis on December 9 th and 10 th only. Emergency Alert System Piedmont Technical College will soon be implementing a new Emergency Alert System. This service will only be used by the college s administration when an emergency situation has been determined which presents a safety or security threat to students or employees on our campuses. In order for this system to be effective, it is imperative that all information for students, faculty and staff be complete and up-to-date. We are asking that ALL students check their information through their Pathway account (found through the Academic Services link under the Student tab). If the information is incorrect or missing, please submit a Change of Information form along with a current driver s license to the Student Records office. Forms can be found at or in the Student Records office.
