You will be placed in a diverse and dynamic team where you will work closely with clients and team members on the spectrum of Building Surveying tasks and you will work closely with other graduates going through the same APC process. As a Graduate Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to attend site visits, meetings, undertake inspections, run projects and write reports based on your findings. Key Building Surveying specialisms you will work in are Dilapidations, Contract Administration, Reinstatement Cost Assessments, Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules and Due Diligence Acquisition. You will also obtain experience in other areas of Building Surveying allowing you to benefit from a supported and rounded training programme. A key difference between the APC pathway for a Building Surveyor opposed to a General Practice Surveyor is that Building Surveyors do not rotate between departments. As a Graduate Building Surveyor you will be expected to be motivated to become a Chartered Building Surveyor and motivated to put in the hard work and training required to reach this important career milestone. 3 Project Management Various Partners and Associates Initially, you will be placed into one of C&W Project Management & Consultancy teams. At first, you will be assisting more experienced Project Managers with daily tasks. By the end of your 2-year APC training, you will be expected to advise internal employees and external clients on many aspects of Project Management. London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow. To gain enough broad, in-depth practical experience to allow you to obtain your Project Management APC on your first sitting, whilst contributing to and experiencing the success of each team and ultimately Cushman & Wakefield. To assist in the successful delivery of construction projects from initial feasibility stage through to tender and completion of construction: Initial investigations of project options and feasibility, including initial reporting to clients Coordination of the project design team Collation of tender documents Oversight and review of the tender process, including recommendations for appointment Management of main contractors on site works through to completion, including contract administration duties Regular liaison and reporting to clients as well as attendance at meetings.
