1 PERSUADED KICK-OFF MEETING L I F E 1 3 E N V / I T / K i c k - o f f M e e t i n g R o m e, 9 / 9 / Life Project: children healthcare through food and environmental safety PERSUADED project officially began its activities with its Kick-off Meeting held in Rome at the headquarters of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità. The meeting, chaired by the Coordinator Cinzia Rocca, was attended by the project partners, respectively, Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital (OPBG), Rome (Dr. Cianfarani) and the National Research Council - Institute of Clinical Physiology, (IFC-CNR), Pisa (Dr Gastaldelli). All the Consortium members actively involved in the project attended the meeting, including pediatricians' National Association (Dr. Toffol responsible for the Environmental Working Group and Dr. Reali) and the Italian Federation of Paediatricians (FIMP) Marche region (Dr. Fabbrizi, Dr Ciferri).The purpose of this initial meeting was for the partner institution representatives to meet in person and present their home institutions, discuss future project activities and their implementation, address management and working procedures, responsibilities, technical and financial details. The kick-off meeting represented an opportunity to build common understanding of the goals and objectives of the project within the Consortium. Each of the project partners presented their specific contributions to the project and discussed the main pillars of the project, the timetable of actions and obligations for the proper and timely implementation of the project, the management and implementation plan, the work packages and the respective tasks.
