2 Dear Friends, As a corporation dedicated to the health and welfare of our community families, you are invited to participate in the 2 nd annual Growing Up Health Trade Show coming to the Family Centre in Kitchener on May 3, Organized by Green Lava Media Inc, we bring together over 75 community resources, local vendors and engaging speakers with a focus on family health & wellness. We connect families with local agencies and corporations whose focus is to help them grow and thrive throughout all stages of family development. We are asking you to consider one or more of our sponsorship opportunities and to become part of an incredible day filled with trade show displays, key note speaks and of course, access to parents and caregivers who are looking for the best products and varied services for their family. An introduction at our Trade Show may bring lifelong commitment to young families seeking the best products and services available in our community. In 2014, our show attracted over 75 company and social service trade show booth participants, 600 guests, and speakers such as Kim Krueger-Kischak, Luisa DeSousa & Michelle Buckner. We offered informative and diverse speaker topics on everything from eating healthy, to managing stress, to yoga for kids. This is truly an innovative event bringing together vendors, expert speakers, and support networks that provide healthy options for every family. 3 Growing Up Healthy Trade Show Interesting tidbits about your host Green Lava Media Founder of Green Lava Media, Stephanie Goertz is a former police officer whose focus now is to connect families to the best people, services and products. Stephanie s outstanding work ethic and best business practices have been rewarded with a nomination for the 2015 Mompreneure Awards. She is very active in the community and currently volunteers with: Life With A Baby, Kidsport Kitchener-Waterloo, Wilmot Region Healthy Communities Coalition and the Waterloo Region Active Living Network. As well as hosting the Growing Up Healthy Trade Show, Green Lava Media supports local businesses through our Healthy Connection Networking and other monthly educational events geared to connecting business & families of all ages and constitutions. Look who s coming! Our target market is young families and the primary attendee is a year old well educated female with 2 children under the age of 8. Let s call her Luci! Luci is married and has a combined family income of $75,000+. She and her husband own their own home (with a mortgage), and more often than not it is their first. Luci is willing to pay more for premium and healthier products and feels good about purchasing local, organic and green. Luci enjoys getting out with other families and has lasting positive impressions following her attendance at Growing Up Healthy Trade Show. How will families find us? We will be creating a buzz in the community through our website, poster & flyer blitzes, continual social media presence. We have built quality professional relationships with dozens of local businesses through our previously mentioned, monthly Networking Nights and Speaker Series, and our other community events. We have received extremely positive feedback and event attendance continues to grow. This is a great opportunity to spread our message and we now have secondary organizations promoting Growing up Healthy to their networks. Growing up Healthy has partnered with The Holistic Parent magazine and the third edition of the magazine will be launching at the event with the event guide as the centre feature. The distribution for the magazine is Region wide with a lengthy distributor list already in place. One of our strongest partnerships is with the Not-for-profit organization Life With A Baby which gives us a direct line to young families in the community. As part of this union the Holistic Parent magazine will be distributed to all Waterloo Region Life With A Baby members - over 600 local families. The Growing Up Healthy event directory, which includes the names of all businesses/not-for-profits/organizations that are participate in the annual event, will be attached as an insert to the magazine and distributed across Waterloo Region at the time of the event.
