1 Employer Access to the PlacePro Job Posting System Thank you for your interest in posting opportunities for NAIT students and alumni on our Job Posting system. This system is used by other Canadian institutions and will allow you to post and manage applicants with ease. Below are simple instructions to help you get started. 1. To access PlacePro Go to Go to Posting Career Opportunities, and click on the Employer Access to the PlacePro Job Posting System link. Alternatively, go directly to 2. Login to the System If you have previously used PlacePro, enter your login and password, and click Login and go to Step 4 in these instructions. Important: You will need to use NAITEMPLOYER as the Access Code to use PlacePro. If you are new to the system, click on the Not Registered? Create new account link, and go to Step 3 in these instructions.

2 3. Create a New Account In the New Account Setup screen, you can search for your company using an alphabetical list or use the 0-9 search to create a new account. If your company name cannot be found, click the New Company button to proceed. You will be prompted to create a company profile, description, and set up a login and password (see next page for example).

4 4. Review your Profile The first screen you will see on login shows your company profile. Please review the information to ensure it is accurate. Save any changes. You can revisit this screen at any time by clicking on the Profile link at the top of any page. 5. Create a Job Posting Click on My Jobs to create, update, and manage job postings. The Job Posting Wizard will guide you through the job posting setup process. a. Enter job description, contact information, and application process details. Information entered on the first screen will form the body of your posting, including job title, employment type, and application instructions. Please ensure you include contact information in this section. You can format the layout, colours, and formatting of the information, and add links to the posting.

5 b. Specify applicant preferences and job details. Select the Major (program) preferred applicants should have, as well as any other requirements. Select the location, industry, and enter the Compensation information for the position. Please note: Experience, Min GPA, Class, Job Level, and documents are optional fields, but may assist you in finding the most appropriate candidates. c. Add desired applicant skill sets and behavioural qualities. These fields are not required; however, they may assist you in finding the best candidates for your job. You may skip this section by clicking the Next button.

6 d. Specify an application deadline date. This section is critical. Once you have entered the information, click Update to be taken to the next screen. You MUST click Update before Finish in order to successfully post a job. e. Review details and publish. Review the details of your posting and click the Finish button to complete your posting. 6. Get confirmation The following screen will appear once you click finish in the previous step. All postings are reviewed by an administrator, and once approved, will show Approved. While this approval is pending, the job approval status will be Waiting New. If there are any issues with the posting, the posting will show Declined. (See next page for an example).

7 To make changes to your posting at any time, please return to My Jobs, select the posting you would like to modify, and follow the steps above. Frequently Asked Questions 1. Once my job is posted, am I able to view the posting as a student/alumnus sees it? No, you are not able to view it as a student/alumnus would see it. However, the job is in your My Jobs profile for future reference or modifications. If you need a copy of your posting as it is viewed by students/alumni, please 2. I entered a deadline date and clicked Finish. I was taken back to the offerings screen. Was my job posted? No. You MUST click Update before Finish in order to successfully post a job. Once you have done that, it will appear in the My Jobs tab with the status information. 3. What browsers are compatible with PlacePro? The PlacePro System works best with Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. Pages and fields may not appear correctly in other browsers. 4. What is the My Applicants tab? In PlacePro, students and alumni are able to upload resumes and apply straight to your My Applicants are. Though most applicants will follow the application instructions you post in the body of your job posting, it is important to check this area to see if anyone has applied using this method. 5. How long will my job posting stay active? Your posting will be active until the application deadline you specified. We do not recommend open-ended postings (postings with no deadline date); instead, if you have not found a suitable candidate by your deadline date, modify your posting to draw more interest, and re-post the position. 6. I do not know the Access Code to use for logging into the system. What Access Code do I use? The Access Code is NAITEMPLOYER.
