1 // Professional Statement is the producer of the TV series Lilyhammer and DAG and the theatrical features 5 Lies (2007), Fuck Up (2012) and The Immoral (). He has also produced a string of short film and documentaries. has for the past ten years headed the Oslo based film and tv production company Viafilm. Previously he has been CEO for a subsidiary company of Schibsted and TV2, been running the shortfilm department of Nordic Film Postproduction and has been running the film production company Free Artists with the well known Marrocan director Nour-Eddine Lakhmari. In between he has been hired as a lecturer at Westerdals School of Communication. He is currently producing Lilyhammer season 3 for Rubicon, NRK and Netflix and has DAG season 4 in preproduction for TV2 as a coproduction between Viafilm and Kamerakameratene. NRK is the public broadcaster in and TV2 is the largest commercial broadcaster. Lilyhammer is sold to more than 170 countries and has been seen by millions of peolpe. Steven Van Zandt is the main actor together with several well known norwegian actors. The shooting of Lilyhammer has taken place in Lillehammer, Oslo, New York, Rio de Janerio, Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Lilyhammer is Netflix first original series and their first original season 2 and 3. Lilyhammer season 2 won the Gullruten award for Best TV Drama and Best actor. Gullruten is the Nowegian TV award, comperable to the American Emmy. Season 2 is nominated for Best TV Drama in the coming Monte Carlo Festival. DAG has been aired three seasons at TV2 in and SVT in Sweden and has been a huge success. The series received rave reviews from an eclectic critics choir who was fascinated by Karlsens dark written, warm, absurd comedy and the innovative style. DAG has been nominated for many Gullruten awards and has won several awards. DAG is voted the 2000 s Best TV Series in. Enlisted as actor in the series is Rolf Lassgård, the male lead in Susanne Biers Oscar nominated After the Wedding and Iben Hjejle, the female lead from the movie High Fidelity. The Danish born actress also appears in Karlsen feature film debut Fuck Up alongside an all star nordic cast. Tangen has his education in Economics from BI in Oslo and studies in film and tv-production from Telemark Distriktshøgskole in Bø and Oslo Film and TV Academy.
