Direct Residential Property Investment Superannuation and KiwiSaver Retirement Planning Goal Setting Personal Insurance Management Business Risk Management Personal limitations on scope of advice: I provide limited guidance on residential investment property and tax and estate planning matters. I work with other experts that specialise in these fields to give the client best advice. Basis of Fees Your very first introductory appointment will be complimentary. You can use this appointment to gain a better understanding of the services and culture that I and Financial Architects employ. After that appointment, you can then decide whether to further the relationship and if so, in what capacity. Hourly Consultation Rates I charge $250 + GST per hour. 2 The following fixed price agreements are available: Comprehensive Financial Plan: $1500 inc GST Includes 3 meetings with me, a personal and written comprehensive strategy plan and implementation of recommendations. Platinum Membership: $300 + GST monthly This option includes both Gold and Silver benefits plus quarterly meetings to discuss your income progress and your overall financial management. There will be KPI's set for the next month along with the review of progress you are making within your business. Review your business and investment strategies with the view to making changes wherever and whenever possible to maximise your wealth growth quicker. This may involve meetings with your other key advisers such as lawyers and accountants. Gold Membership: $115 + GST monthly Includes a full annual review and update of your financial plan, monthly cash flow monitoring, unlimited financial support and advice, exclusive invitation to seminars/events. (minimum 12 month membership) Silver Membership : $75 per month + GST monthly Financial management that involves cash flow monitoring to ensure you manager your cash flow effectively. This includes quarterly analysis of your progress in achieving better overall management of your financial governance. (Minimum membership is 12 months) 6 monthly meetings to track and update you. Personal Risk Management Audit: $900 + GST Includes the analysis, recommendation and implementation of life insurance, income protection, mortgage protection, disability insurance and medical insurance. This fee is waived if I establish the insurance recommendations as a commission would be received and paid for by the insurer. Business Risk Audit: $3,500 + GST Includes a thorough review to identify business risk exposures, a documented and comprehensive risk management plan, and establishment of recommendation. This fee is waived if I establish the insurance recommendations as a commission would be received and paid for by the insurer. Home Loans In most instances the bank or lender will pay a commission or brokerage fee. Where this is the case, no additional fee will be charged to the client. If the bank or lender is one which does not hold referral agreements with mortgage advisers, a fee of 0.5% - 1% of the loan amount will be charged to the client, and will be advised and agreed upon prior to starting any work. 3 Commercial Loans A fee will be payable of between 0.5% - 1% of the loan amount. The fee will be advised and agreed upon prior to starting any work. Personal Loans A fee will be payable of $500 - $1,000. The fee will be advised and agreed upon prior to starting any work. Investment Funds Management I do not charge an upfront commission for managed investments. Ongoing monitoring fees of funds under management will attract the following fees annually. Private Portfolio Monitoring Up to $100,000 funds managed: 1.5% $101,000 - $500,000: 1.35% $501,000 - $750,000: 1.25% $750,001 - $1,000,000: 1% $1m - $2m:.50% $2m plus :.45% Retail Managed Funds Monitoring All funds under management:.75% KiwiSaver There is no charge for Financial Architects to manage your KiwiSaver fund, as monitoring fees will be received from the fund manager providers. Property Investment $250 + GST per hour for casual consultation and advice Property Investment Membership Package: $5,000 + GST Includes: Property investment needs analysis; cashflow analysis to determine affordability; source suitable property to meet your needs and preferences; liaise with mortgage broker/bank and accountant to ensure the right structures are established; arrange depreciation schedule, valuations, rental appraisals; arrange property management. Financial Interests, Relationships & Associations This fee will not be charged if Financial Architects receive a referral fee for the sale of a property. Financial Architects Ltd I am the sole shareholder of Financial Architects Ltd. Commissions & Brokerage In the event that you proceed with my recommendations and purchase financial products through me, I may receive a commission, directly or indirectly. NZFSG provides a number of support services including; continuing professional training; sales and marketing support; access to insurance and mortgage research and business planning. NZFSG may receive revenue from product providers arising from the business that I do with you. 5 Dividends from Financial Architects This company receives all of the remuneration including fees and commissions disclosed elsewhere in this Disclosure Statement. I may receive dividends directly or an indirect benefit from profits or other distributions or gain made by this company. Managing Conflicts of Interest Arising from Remuneration I manage conflicts of interest by: Ensuring that products recommended are the most suitable for the client, given their circumstances. Ensuring the quantity of product(s) recommended is justified and appropriate for the client s circumstances. Evaluating cost and reviewing suitability of existing products held by the client. Ensuring independent research is analysed to provide the best quality product to the client comparative to cost effectiveness. Relevant Qualifications Associate Life Underwriter (ALU). Associate Financial Planner (AFP). Authorised Financial Adviser in accordance with section 55 of the Financial Advisers Act 2008 Disclosure Required under the Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers Completed 2 years business development under the Entrepreneurial Success Programme. Currently completing Massey University papers towards Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) qualification and papers to complete Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification. Relevant Experience 34 years experience working in the financial services industry. Awarded Financial Planner of the Year 2007 by Professional Investment Services Ltd. Continuing Professional Development I maintain and complete a professional development plan which exceeds the requirements to maintain my competence for the financial adviser services which are provided or intended to be provided by me. 6 product providers and the Institute of Financial Advisers and the Professional Advisers Association. Advice Process I follow the Internationally recognised Financial Planning process. Following is a summary of the six step process that you will experience with myself and Financial Architects Ltd Your first meeting will be to identify the areas of advice and services that you require. Data will be collected from you to determine your financial position, your goals and your expectations. Following that meeting Financial Architects will assess and evaluate financial strategies to move you closer to your goals. Recommendations within your financial plan will be based upon this analysis. At your second meeting you will receive your documented personal financial strategy plan. I will discuss all areas of advice in detail with you at this meeting and answer any immediate questions you may have. A third meeting will be scheduled approximately 1-2 weeks after you have received your financial plan. This will give you time to consider the recommendations and identify any further question or suggestions, which will be answered at your third meeting. At this meeting you will decide what recommendations you wish to implement, alter or put on hold. Following your decisions, Financial Architects will then implement and establish the recommendations, and keep you up to date as progress is made. Finally, your financial strategy plan is to be reviewed and monitored on a regular basis. We recommend annual reviews, or sooner if there is need or if you would prefer more frequent reviews. Professional Bodies I am a member of the Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) and as a condition of membership must adhere to the IFA Code of Ethics and IFA Practice Standards. I am a member of the Professional Advisers Association (PAA) and as a condition of membership must adhere to the PAA Code of Ethics and PAA Practice Standards. I am a member of the NZ financial services group. Professional Indemnity Insurance In compliance with the Institute of Financial Advisers Code of Ethics, I have professional indemnity insurance which covers all my areas of practice. This insurance provides protection for clients for: any error or omission; defamation; employee dishonesty; and Includes full prior acts protection. 7 The minimum level of cover is in compliance with Institute of Financial Adviser s membership by-laws.
