San Antonio College General Education Articulation Agreement (Valid for La Verne and Mt.SAC Catalogs) IMPORTANT NOTICE: Students who matriculate into La Verne and who are fully certified for the California State University General Education-Breadth (CSU-GE) pattern or the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) from a regionally accredited California Community College will be credited with fulfilling all of La Verne s General Education-Breadth requirements with the exception of the Foreign Language requirement depending on the student s declared major. Students must provide proof of certification when the final transcript is sent to La Verne. Transfer students will be required to complete the University Values (UV) requirements. These requirements will introduce students to the values of the University as they are articulated in the Mission Statement. Please refer to the catalog at for specific UV requirement guidelines. The UV requirement can be met in GE, major, minor, or elective courses. The courses will introduce students to the central values of the University as they are articulated in the Mission Statement. The number of UV designations that a transfer student will be required to complete is determined by the number of units transferred at the time of matriculation according to the following guidelines: 1. Students who transfer units must complete 2 designations in Values Orientation (VO); 2 designations in Community and Diversity (CD); 2 designations in Lifelong Learning (LL); and 1 designation in Community Service (CS) 2. Students who transfer units must complete 1 designation in Values Orientation (VO); 1 designation in Community and Diversity (CD); 1 designation in Lifelong Learning (LL); and 1 designation in Community Service (CS) 3. Students who transfer units must complete 3 designations in three different areas 4. Students who transfer 92+ units or more must complete 2 designations in two different areas 5

6 Additional (GE) Transfer Guidelines All students at the time of matriculation, who have completed fewer than 28 semester hours of transferable course work, will be evaluated for fulfillment of ULV s General Education Breadth Area requirements on a course-by-course basis. No course can be used to meet more than one Breadth Area requirement There is no limit to the number of transfer credits that will be accepted by the University, but NO course will be considered for transfer credit unless a grade of C- or better was received. The Office of the Registrar reserves the right to alter and revise the contents of this Articulation Agreement at anytime. 6
