1 August 24, 2015 Addendum No. 1: Project: PSFA PROJECT NO: P Parkview Early Literacy Center Expansion and Modernization - Roswell Independent School District and NM PSFA To All Bidders: The following items shall be incorporated into the above referenced project. These items shall modify or clarify the published project construction documents as stated herein. The Contractor shall acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the Proposal Form. Is the facility sprinklered? a. Yes, the entire building will be sprinklered. 2. Is there an existing Fire Line? a. No, a new Fire Riser Room is part the project. 3. Is the Asbestos Abetment paid by the owner as it has happened before? a. Yes, the Owner will have asbestos abatement paid for and completed prior to GC work. 4. Does the time and duration of the project include the relocation of the portables and the asbestos abetment? Are they part of the 400 day construction time frame? a. The portables have already been relocated by the District. The relocation of the portables by the District will happen after the east wing has been completed. This and the asbestos abatement is part of the 400 day construction time. 5. When will the portables be moved? Parkview Early Literacy Center Addendum No. 01 1

2 a. Once the students located in the portables move into the east wing, the District will remove the portables from the site. 6. Is the Construction time 390 or 400 days? Is that flexible? a. The construction time is 400 days for Substantial Completion. The number of days is negotiable. 7. How old is the existing School? a. The first building was completed in 1948, the second phase in 1952, the third phase in 1984, and the last phase was done in Is this a LEED project? a. No. 9. Will the building have inspections for equipment controls or is the building commissioned? Are there any sole source specialty systems in the building? a. Yes, PSFA has under contract a Performance Assurance Contractor to verify that the HVAC and HVAC Controls systems are properly installed and efficiently operating in accordance to the Contract Documents. Honeywell is the company used by the District for their controls and building automations Questions on Overhead Coiling Door Section a. Delete Paragraph 1.4.G b. Paragraph Delete requirement for Gasket Seal c. Paragraph 2.1.C & D - Powder coat finishes are acceptable for Bottom Bar for Service Doors and Curtain Jamb Guides. d. Paragraph 2.1.D.1 - Delete requirement for Thresholds. e. Paragraph 2.3.B Delete requirement for spring loaded dead bolt, operating handle and cam plate. Use Double angle bottom bar as specified with Taylor Locks at each jamb. f. Paragraph 2.4.B Delete requirement for Pull Down Strap. g. Paragraph 2.8.F Delete requirement for Wear Strips h. Paragraph 2.8.J Provide powder-coated finish for door finish. 11. Warming Kitchen Door No electrical conduit or wiring is shown on the exterior and interior controls or the wiring for the specified safety devices. This needs to be in conduit to protect the wiring from damage in the future. This must be installed by a licensed electrician. a. Provide conduit to accommodate all wiring related to overhead door operations. 12. When is the protest of award deadline? a. November 2, 2015 APPROVED SUBSTITUTIONS 1.
