We bought these agile high growth Cloud companies and handed them to the guys who couldn t grow our ERP business. Hmm. Invent another database? ERP like the main frame is not going away and for good reason ERP is the hub that holds the business together ERP that is open and welcomes external innovation will drive HUGE value for the business and earn it s keep ERP is the core platform. ERP MUST serve the business and not see it s role as being served by the business ERP must embrace and facilitate Open Integration. The gate keeper days are over. ERP must embrace and champion standards
