9 Some of our thinking Pharmacists are essential members of health-care teams that are increasingly faced with challenges that require an understanding of global health trends and practices. As the world s cultural diversity is increasingly revealed by a global society and economy, it is necessary to train and develop pharmacists seeking to have a meaningful impact on a global scale. To further define the role of the pharmacist in global health, pharmacists may have to change their perception of what services they can provide and where these services can be applied.
