6 English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs Whether you are looking to improve your English for academic, professional or personal reasons, Valencia provides the high-quality education that you need. Choose from either the Intensive English Program or the ESL for Teens Program. INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM This English immersion program is designed for students ages 15 and older from all language levels. If you are interested in a degree from Valencia but need to improve your English first, you can start with this program and then transfer into a Valencia degree program. The program is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), which is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the U.S. Program placement: students are placed based on an oral evaluation prior to arrival and a written placement test upon arrival. Based on your level, students can study anywhere from 2 to 68 weeks. Advanced level courses include a greater emphasis on reading and writing, along with academic preparation for college-level courses. Afternoon workshop is offered for F-1 students. Conditional acceptance to Valencia College. Program Details Classes start every two weeks. Nine language levels, from low beginner to high advanced. Each course is 32-hours and is completed in two weeks.

This three-level program is designed to increase the participant s proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing/grammar. Participants will be immersed in a challenging, yet fun environment while they gain a greater understanding of the English language and American culture. Program Details Classes available in January, June, July and August. Three levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced. Program placement: students are placed based on an oral evaluation prior to arrival and a written placement test upon arrival. Each course is 32 hours and is completed in two weeks. Students can study up to one month in this program. Includes American Culture workshop (F-1 students only).
