Meegan, PhD Aims: to conduct internal research that compliments Intermountain Healthcare s mission of providing and improving excellent patient care. Conducted patient interviews to inform the organization about what works and what doesn t in the patient s view. Summarized qualitative data and compiling it into comprehensive reports. Research Assistant, College of Nursing,, 2011 Supervisor: Maija Reblin, PhD Aims of study: to apply the RMICS coding system to data involving hospice patients in order to determine whether the system could be effectively used in the future to look at the quality of relationships between terminally ill patients and their spouses. Coded taped interactions between hospice patients, their caregivers, and nurses. Determined when new codes should be added to facilitate a fuller understanding of the interaction. Research Assistant, Health & Social Support Lab, 2010 NIH Grant R01 HL Social Relationships and Immune Function Principle Investigator: Bert N. Uchino, Ph.D. Supervisor: Bert N. Uchino, Ph.D. Aims of study: to examine markers of inflammation, CRP and MIF, in order to investigate the link between relationships and cardiovascular disease risk in a population of middle age to older married couples. Implemented the study protocol. Participated in manuscript write up.

Uchino, Ph.D. Aims of study: to investigate psychosocial processes that may influence cellular aging, as indexed by telomere length, in a population of older adults. Supervised data entry and managed undergraduate research assistants. Completed data reduction and assisted in analysis and writeup. Uchino, Ph.D. Aims of study: to examine the utility of a conceptual framework emphasizing a joint consideration of positive and negative aspects of social relationships during social support. Supervised the implementation of the study protocol. Management of undergraduate research assistants. Training of undergraduate research assistants in laboratory protocol. Management of participant finances. Management of participants and research assistants. Weekly meetings with project PI to discuss progress. SUPERVISED CLINICAL EXPERIENCE: Psychiatric Technician, University Neuropsychiatric Institute, , Salt Lake City, UT Supervisor: Lucy Van Wagoner - Maintained a safe environment for patients and staff by observing and documenting patient behavior. Assisted with patient admits and discharges, took vital signs, and provided supportive therapy by conducting groups. Encouraged
