1 Departmental & School Wide Professional Developments (Facilitator / Developer) Fieldwork Plan ( ) Major Activities Description Timeline CPSEL Standards Collaborate with teachers and administrators to create engaging and meaningful professional developments by meeting, discussing, and planning professional developments that are connected to the shared vision of the Collaboratively facilitate professional developments that demonstrate best teaching practices/strategies and foster teacher collaboration on projects and lesson planning. Work collectively with Humanities teachers to develop and create a school Standard 1 wide writing handbook that is September 2010 On- going Standard 2 conducive to the academic and personal Standard 5 growth of students, and the entire Model and explain my best teaching practices and strategies to staff and administrators. Facilitate the shared distribution of classroom resources (e.g., documents, lessons, activities, etc.) Collectively lead and facilitate professional developments that take place outside of the school community (e.g. Jefferson High School) in an effort to increase the quality of education in other communities. ATLAS Program (Co Founder & Co Director) Co- direct the entire operation of the ATLAS Program, an after school program designed to support and October 2010 On- going Standard 3 Standard 5

2 motivate middle- of- the- road students who need the extra push to reach academic and personal success. Motivate and lead a team of 4 teacher colleagues (advisors) by exercising democratic leadership through distributing power evenly, and fostering an environment where all members are valued and integrated into the decision making process. Work collaboratively with program advisors to develop relevant and meaningful curriculum that contributes to the vision of the school community, and advances the goals of the ATLAS program. Collectively work with Alain Bonny (program advisor) to manage program finances and budget for expenses based on the needs and wants of program members. Work collaboratively with program stakeholders to strategize a fundraising plan and create activities to raise funds to support program operations by leveraging available community resources. Write grant proposals to support program funding. Collaboratively facilitate family meetings and parent focus group to foster an inclusive environment. Administer surveys and collect data to assess program effectiveness. Gather and arrange data in a

4 Family Association / School Advisory Council Development (Co Creator, Key Developer, Sponsor and Member) Collaboratively design new structures and maintain current ones (e.g. interventions, support staff, college classes, etc.) to support all students and create an inclusive learning environment. Work with community members and families to create a shared vision of the purpose of Da Vinci Design. Contribute to the persistence of a collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, and not working as a lone star. Collectively work to identify and address barriers that prevent all students from accessing a high quality education (e.g. discipline matrix, assisting struggling teachers, etc.). Lead and work with parents to create a study group focused on developing a parent organization. This focus group will meet regularly to collectively create a system of operation that fosters collaboration between administration, teachers, and families. Once a foundation for a system has been established by the study group, the organization will strive to: o Create a community where families are not only able to, but also encouraged to participate in the decision making process. o Maintain constant communication between families and school. This focus group will meet regularly to collectively create a system of operation that fosters collaboration between administration, teachers, and families. Once a foundation for a system has been established by the study group, the organization will strive to: o Create a community where families are not only able to, but also encouraged to participate in the decision making process. o Maintain constant communication between families and school. o Encourage family involvement in school functions. o Integrate family and community wants and needs into the vision of the school. o Serve as an enabling, rather than impeding, factor in the positive growth of the school. Work collaboratively with teacher colleagues and lead discussion to create a system that encourages the equitable and meaningful inclusion of students in the development of the school community. Currently, no such system where the voice of students is represented in the decision making process exists. Once I and other collaborating teachers and administrators establish the foundation for such a system/organization, we will collectively May 2011 On - going

Cooperatively work with school counselor and lead an effort to recruit potential students from surrounding communities.
