4 Sciences Po Open to the world Founded in 1871, Sciences Po (also known as the Institut d Etudes Politiques de Paris) is France s leading university in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities. An autonomous, selective and internationally oriented training institution, Sciences Po allocates 40% of its budget to research in all of the fundamental fields of social sciences, thus fostering the transformation of public administrations and companies. 7 Sciences Po Executive Education From thought to action Created in 1973 in response to the needs of companies and administrations, Sciences Po Executive Education offers custom-made, open-enrolment and degree-awarding programmes aimed at enhancing the professional skills of individuals with managerial and executive responsibilities. As with the courses designed for students in initial training, the Executive Education programmes encourage students to take on greater responsibilities and risks while nurturing intellectual debate and the ability to both understand and manage complexity. Certain training programmes take place abroad, on the sites of client companies and institutions. These programmes are designed in close collaboration between Sciences Po and the partner company from defining needs to analyzing the impact of training.
