Use standardized evaluation instruments to assess program participants knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors to determine educational needs and program impacts. Refer program participants to appropriate assistance programs. Recruit program groups through collaborating community agencies and programs. Participate in staff development and training opportunities to enhance knowledge of nutrition topics and successful methods for nutrition education. Annual starting salary is $30, and includes benefits. 1. Basic knowledge of homemaking skills, including food preparation and nutritional needs. 2. Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language and the ability to follow written and oral instructions. 3. Ability to perform simple numerical computations accurately, to prepare reports, and maintain accurate records. 4. Basic knowledge and comfort with using computers. 5. Ability to communicate effectively in oral expression and to deal tactfully with others. 6. Ability to establish rapport with persons from different ethnic, cultural and or economic backgrounds. 7. Develop and maintain office procedures and records, coordinate essential services and equipment for the office, provide bookkeeping services (including purchase requests and travel vouchers), monitor budgets and expenditures, report time and attendance, prepare memos, correspondence, and handouts, and answer the telephone.
